I've been in Cape May for a whole month my cousin's haven't even been home I'm sure my aunt knows but doesn't care. Aunt Teresa is so sweet but she told me one bad fight or fuck up and I'm out of her house nels brought me out of my thoughts when she asked me a question.

Penelope: hey Lyla quick question how'd you get scar on your face ? I don't mean to be rude it's just been on my mind all day. Also you have so many tattoos I can't believe your parents let you get them that's so cool.

Michael: Penelope hunny you can't just ask people that you don't know how they'll react. Did you also forget what she said about her parents ?

Lyla: it's okay Michael I knew this question would come up, nope my parents didn't let me get them my friend spike did them for me. I got my scar when I came home drunk my dad and mom said I was a slut and they took broken piece of mirror to my face and said "nobody would ever love me because now my pretty face is ruined" I told her with no emotion in my voice because I lost all my emotions that night I went numb, I could feel Ryder staring at me he knew there was more to the story but didn't push i think for Penelopes sake honestly. I have to distance myself from Ryder though he makes me feel things I haven't felt in years and I don't deserve nor do I want to feel those things again.

Penelope: thank you for sharing that I'm so sorry you went through that they truly were bad people, also do you think spike can give me a tattoo??

Lyla: she asked me with so much joy in her voice, no nels you can not get a tattoo from spike he's a bad guy too hunny. She looked sad but told me okay, spike is a bad guy he's a gang leader I don't want her in any part of that life. The boys knew what I meant when I said spike was a bad guy so they also agreed with me.

Ryder: girls me and the boys are going to the bathroom we will catch up with you next period. When we got in the bathroom parker asked the question that's been on my mind since we left the lunchroom, "Ryder did you see Lyla when she mentioned spikes name she tensed up", yes parker I seen that it also means Lyla knows about gangs most likely first hand. "Well we need to ask her but like when she's alone and not pissed off because that girl scares me",  I know Michael and I think she scares everybody shes so tiny but damn she's scary. As we were walking out the bathroom that's when we heard Hailey and Penelope screaming we started rushing to the lunchroom when we got there it was truly a site to see a scary one.

Lyla:  as I'm sitting down talking to the girls well listening to them talk about boys and I shit you not puppies. I hear laughing not your normal laughing, laughing as in I just talked shit about someone and now I'm going to go up to them. As so as I turned my head I see the group of cheerleaders walk up to our table, "ewww new girl you couldn't do anything with yourself ? And what's with that ugly ass scar on your face" I kept quiet Hailey and Penelope kept telling me to stay calm. Guys I am calm what do you mean ? Before Hailey could speak the red head with a caked on makeup spoke up "yea slut stay calm and stay the fuck away from ryder or you'll have another ugly scar on your face" after that I lost it, I grabbed her by her head and smashed her face into the corner end of the table and started beating the shit out of her. She fucking deserves it everybody started screaming so I yelled at Hailey and Penelope to leave now which they did next thing I knew I was lifted up mid punch with Ryder whispering in my ear "baby please stop" I don't know why but I stopped and did he just call me baby ???
