Arthur pov

"You saved me, so we have to be friends now" she said her eyes sparkling with hope

"I would but I got to be somewhere" I said while avoiding her gaze

I turned to leave but felt a pull at my shirt "you really going to leave a defenseless girl out her in the forest"

"OK fine" I sighed. She had screamed at my acceptance of being her friend

I had never seen someone so happy to be my friend. This girl was strange, but she gave me good vibes to be around

It had been around 3 hours since I first found the elven girl, her name is Tessia

"Hey, can I call you Art like your family"

"Sure" Its not that big of a deal to me

The girl told me that she got lost while following butterflies

I don't know if I believe that, but it's whatever, she seems to be a very nice and playful person

One suspicious thing is that she avoided telling me her last name

Oh well, I guess all I want and need to do is get back home

"Art, I'm scared. Can you come with me again?" She asked in a low whisper

"Fine, but you're gonna have to do this yourself someday" she nodded in response

We walked to a nearby bush, she squatted down and used the restroom as i stood guard on the other side

She had left a hand tuning on my shirt, which was kinda cute

After she was done, we set up a little tent. I offered to sleep outside, but she was scared of a monster attack so I had to stay In with her

As she slept, she left a single hand on me I guess to make sure I stay, her actions were so adorable

For the next two weeks, this became routine. I stay guarded while she sleeps and  uses the restroom and whe walk
To where she believes home is

We finally reach our destination as she said it was only trees with strange markings

She rubbed her hand on all the markings in patterns and whe were tooken to a buietiful elven city

In instant, weapons were drawn not at us but at me

I had little knowledge of the elven-human war

"Stop" a commanding voice said, saving his guards from getting a beating from me

"Father!!" Tessia said running after the man and woman by his side

From the look of it Tessia is actually a princess

That would make sense why she didn't tell me her last name

"Sorry for not telling you Art, want to explore the city with me" Tessia said with a big smile gleaming at me

"Sure" I said 'that's if I leave here alive' I said to myself

"Let him go" Tessia's father said and all the guards stood still andboved away from me

"Come boy" he said in a disgusted and agitated tone like I had stepped on his foot and spilled water all over his shirt

'Already at a bad start, huh'

It was a silent ride in the carriage, Tessia slept next to me while the current king and queen watched me from across the carriage

We had reached the castle guards already dismissed

But there was a strong mana presence, the only person that I could think of was the former king...

Virion Eralith

He was the only elf in ever text book

I sat at a round table similar like a table a detective would have in my old world

Tessia sat to right of me, current king and queen both in front and Virion to the left of me

Who took her?, when did you find her?, How did you find her?

The current rulers of the nation said all at once Viron and Tessia sat quietly at the table fidgeting with her dress

"I'm sorry, I should've never ran away" Tessia said, the only response from the current and past rulers was a wide-eyed look

I never knew the reason of her being in the forest with the slave traders, now I know

"I'm sorry I haven't asked boy what is your name?" King Alduin asked me his tone more lighter then earlier I could tell he still isn't fond of me yet

"Its Arthur Leywin" I said with pride, happy to be alive and a changed person

"Thank you for saving my daughter if there is anything you want, I can get it done for you"

The other two rulers past and present nodded in agreement

Tessia looked down her vibrant green eyes sparkling with tears since she knew about my parent and thought that I would probably want to go home

'Seeing my parents again would be nice but...'I thought

After all that has happen if i leave now, Tessia might run away again, I wouldn't want that to happen

"I would like to stay and become friends with Tessia"
