In their cozy hotel room in Edmonton, the morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the scene. Benny and Frida, already dressed and ready for the day, waiting for Agnetha and Björn who were taking their sweet time getting ready. Benny, with his gentle demeanor, sat on the edge of the bed, tying his shoelaces while humming a tune. And Frida, ever the impatient one, paced back and forth, frustrated that they were taking so long since they had to meet Stig at the Arena precisely at nine."Come on, Benny, how much longer do you think they'll take?" Frida asked, her tone a mixture of frustration and anticipation.
Benny chuckled softly, knowing his wife's eagerness all too well. "They'll be ready soon, love. Let's give them a little more time."
Just then, the door creaked open, and in walked Agnetha and Björn, looking fresh and ready for the day. Agnetha wore a bright smile, her blonde locks flowing around her shoulders, while Björn sported his signature grin. "Sorry we're late, guys," Agnetha said, flashing a sheepish grin, her hair was messy and her buttons were closed improperly.
Björn nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we lost track of time. But we're all set now."
Benny grinned, knowing they indeed "lost track of time". Frida let out a relieved sigh, her impatience melting away as she looked at her friends. "Finally! The taxis are waiting outside, and we don't want to keep Stig waiting."
As they settled into the taxis, each of them clutching their personal essentials, Frida heaved a large bag onto her lap, filled to the brim with clothes for her, also for Billie, along with her hair tools, gum, shoes, and all the little necessities that made life on tour more comfortable. She carefully placed it in the space between her feet, ensuring it wouldn't topple over during the ride to the arena. Benny, the gentle one he is, gave Frida's leg gentle scratches. His touch was soothing, a silent reassurance of his love and support. Frida leaned into his shoulder, a contented smile playing on her lips as she basked in his affection.
Quickly they arrived into the arena, all of them a little starstruck at the size of it. Frida gasped, butterflies whirling through her stomach. She let out a quiet squeal, squeezing Benny's hand tight as she felt the excitement run through her whole body. Agnetha sighed deeply, her nerves getting the better of her. Despite her nerves, she couldn't help but feel a hint of excitement for their first performance since almost 2,5 years. Stig showed them around, leading them all to their dressing rooms, the makeup room, backstage, the stage and such. Frida dropped her bags in the dressing room that was hers, she immediately wrote a note saying "Frida, please knock" with a few flowers on it to stick to the door. She got some of her essentials out of her bag to put on the desk like her deodorant, chapstick, gum and her cigarettes. "Darling, can you come here for a minute?" Frida called out to Billie, who was patiently sitting on a chair in the corner of the dressing room, fiddling with her stuffed bunny as she watched her mom curiously. She jumped off the chair and attended Frida's side. "Promise me that you won't go anywhere alone in here, okay? The arena is very big and we don't want to have to come find you," Frida smiled, poking her belly. "If mommy's busy, you can always ask for Görel." She said seriously as Billie nodded continuously to her words.
"It's time for soundcheck, Frida." Benny peeked through the door, knocking as he reminded her of the time.
"Coming!" She smiled looking back at Billie. "Do you wanna come with me?" Frida gave an encouraging look and Billie nodded quickly, grabbing her hand as they got on their way through backstage.
Benny sat behind his piano as Frida entered the stage and joined Benny behind the piano. She laid her head onto his shoulder, sighing in content.
"You okay?" He asked, wrapping his arm around her.
