I went to camp last summer and had a lot of fun. I made new friends and saw some friends I already knew. It was one of the most fun weeks of my life!
A van full of people from my church arrived at camp. We checked in and took our belongings to our cabin. We then started memorizing verses. I called the bottom bunk right below a soon to be friend named Bella. Me, Bella, and my friend from church named Charlotte , did everything together that week.(Including hitting the milkshake out of Charlotte's hand in the dodgeball court by accident). There were the following teams , red , green, and the blue teams that week. Me and my friends were on the blue girls team.(Since there was red boys and red girls, and blue boys and blue girls, and green boys and green girls. So , since we were on the blue girls team, that week we were competing against our "enemy" the blue boys. There were many "punishments" that week. We competed by learning verses. So, if the blue girls memorized more verses then the blue boys in timeline of the couple days or a day given, the blue boys got the "punishment." The first punishment was whichever team said the most verses of the groups , green, blue, or red, they got to pour freezing cold water with ice cubes in it on the "enemy." We won that one, thankfully! The second was eating pizza with little plastic shovels. We also won that one. We won popcorn night where the staff popped popcorn on our porch. The one we did lose was getting tied up in Caution Tape during lunch. If you ask me , that is the one I would have preferred losing. I fell like I forgot one , and if I did someone will correct me. There was also , "The Bear Den" where you could go and buy some shirts , hoodies , and ice cream and so much more. If we said enough verses , we got to dunk a worker. I did! Then if ou said more, you got to go to an ice cream party. I did! And if you said all the verses ,you got a cup holder thing. I did! The dominant team that won the most points that week with games and verses got to go home with a box of candy. The blue team won , again! There was also great sermons. Bella could relate if she didn't fall asleep! I had a fun week.
