The Promised Bastard

In a moon chamber, a figure walked back and forth. Its steps echo through the chamber. A giant man lay on a stone table in the chamber's center. The only thing covering the man was a long black skirt with red olive leaves stitched on the fabric. The man's upper body showed, and its skin was withered and black. Its red hair is long and stringy. Its arms crossed over its lower abdomen, and on the wrists were golden bracers with rubies ribbed into them. The figure then walked to the man and gently took the man's hand into its own.

Figure: My beloved Lord, you will return to us, your true-blooded children. The rest are low born, but you, my loved Lord, are our true father, king, and God. This I swear to you. Olympus will fall, and you will be the only god and rule over us for eternity. You will strike down the sun and bring endless nights. Soon, you will drink the blood that is promised to you. And when you wake, we will be here.

Soon, a woman came to the figure's side in a whisp of smoke and whispered something in its ear. In the village that was placed near the mountains, a bat was watching a scene where a young man was fighting a demon; through the bat's eyes, the figure watched the fight and noticed that the young man had deep blue eyes, just like the king of the gods, Zeus. The figure chuckled and removed its hood, and the face of a youthful man was shown, but then the man's face transformed into a misshaped face of a bat and a human.

Man: Finally, the Bastard that was Promised. Soon, my lord, you will be fed and return to us.

The man then transformed into a cloud of bats and flew from the room to the location where the man was. Heron was fighting to save his mother from the demons, and just before the head demon's weapon could kill his mother, a pale hand came out of nowhere and caught the weapon. Everyone looked up and saw the man's cloak fluttering in the wind.

Man: Now, now. Is that how you treat your mother? Shame on you, boy. I thought that I was about to witness a family reunion.

Seraphim: Lies!

Man: I can see that, but let my Lord show you.

The man's eyes changed; the once red is now black, and the three looked into his eyes, and the truth was revealed in memories.

In their daze, the man walked around and slaughtered the other demons. When the spell was done, Seraphim saw that his demons were dead, and the man who had shown him the visions had blood all over himself and was licking his nails that grew over a foot.

Seraphim: You are a true-blooded vampire, but how? You all should have fallen when your god did!

Man: Did you forget? He is the father of all of us, our undying king! He will never be gone! He wasn't the first vampire true, but he is still our god! Our true father!

Seraphim: He fell by the hand of that woman! How can he come back?!

Man: He fell, but he didn't die. You forget that once he drank blood from his half-siblings, he gained his immortality, and he is also a demigod, a bastard of Zeus. And don't forget that Apollo had placed this blessing unto us. Our Lord Fino even made the Queen of Olympus tremble before him! He will return; it is only a matter of time. But first, I have to make that happen, and oh damn me! Look at the time I must be going with my prize.

The man then flashed past Seraphim, and when Seraphim looked back, he saw the vampire slashing at his mother's throat, blood flying in the air. Before any of the twins could do anything, the vampire rushed to Heron and punched him so hard that Heron was knocked out. Seraphim looked everywhere he could to catch the vampire he struck him. The blow forced Seraphim to his knees, and another threw him into a nearby tree. Seraphim was weak from the blows, and he could only watch as the vampire walked to his younger twin, picked him up, and placed him on his shoulder when the sound of a blade flew through the air, and the vampire was forced to dodge the projectile. The man looked at the tree line, and there, in the dim light of the moon, a robed figure stood, its arm outstretched and pointed to the vampire.

Vampire: Who are you?

Figure: Mister Vampire, I must ask you to put the man down. It's been a long night, and I want to sleep.

The figure removed its hood, and the face of a young man was shown in the moonlight. What caught the most attention was the man's eyes. They were miscolored; one was gold and the other green. The vampire saw the eyes, and anger boiled his blood. He never could forget the eyes of the murderer, the scum woman that killed his lord, his god. Those eyes are the same as hers. This must be the descendent of the woman's brother; there was no other way to explain why this man had her eyes.

Vampire: The freak's descendant graces us with his presence; what a way to show your face here. After all, your family is the most hated here. For us vampires, the actual blood of Fino!

Man: Well, I must say that your kind has been quite busy in my family's absence. There are so many more little beasties to kill. So little time.

Vampire: I don't have the time to deal with you, but I know many will.

Then, a vampire came, appearing in a black fog. It growled at the man, its teeth long and sharp. The man then took off this cloak, and a whip was on the man's hip. The man took the whip off his hip, and with an upward and down motion, he cracked the whip, the sound echoing in the air. The Vampire shuddered at the sound but held its ground.  The man wore a leather breastplate cut just below his chest, exposing the rest of his stomach. His skirt was all cloth and reached mid-thigh, but his belt was leather. His sandals reached to his kneecaps, leather, but the soles and heel had steel plating rather than the standard wood. The man and beast circled each other until the beast struck first. The man jumped over the monster with great agility, and when he landed behind the vampire, he cracked his whip, and the lash hit the monster in the back. It screeched in pain as it flew way from the man and hit against a tree. The man then threw a knife at the beast, and the knife embedded itself in the chest when the beast. Soon fire engulfed the beast, as its screams of pain filled the air. The master Vampire jumped into the air and flew away, the urgency of his successes of retrieving the bastard the most important thing. The man looked up and saw the vampire flying away. He could only groan in annoyance and ran to get his cloak and ran after the vampire, leaving Seraphim behind.
