Rudra's pov

I was working in the study room when my phone rang, and I saw that it was my dad calling.

"Hey, Dad," I said.

"Hey, Rudra, I want you to come to my office right now," he replied.

"What happened? Is everything okay, Dad?" I asked, feeling concerned.

"No, everything's fine. I just want to discuss something with you," he replied.

"Okay, I'm on my way," I said and hung up.

After putting my phone down, I went downstairs and told my mom that I was heading to the office because Dad had called me. Instead of asking why or what happened, she gave me a weird smile. It seemed like something was going on between them. After giving my mom a quick look, I hopped into my car and drove towards the company while wondering what my dad wanted to talk about.

I reached the company and went straight to private elevator.

Knocking the door I heard him saying "come in" I went in and asked him "what happened dad".

"Firstly sit down and take a breath"he said pointing at the chair.

I sat down and looked at him and saw him looking at everywhere except me.

"Dad what's the matter you are stressing me"I again asked him.

"Okay, I'll get straight to the point I want you to marry samaira Mr Sharma's daughter"he dropped the bomb.

"But you know very well that I don't want to get married right now," I said to him.

"I know that, but you're already 30. Do you want to get married when you're old with white hair? I'm sure no girl would want to marry an old man with white hair," he said while rolling his eyes.

"But-" I was cut off by him.

"No 'buts.' Samaira is a good girl. I've known her since she was little, and she's also Meera's best friend. Plus, your mom is on board with it," he said.

"But I don't know anything about her, and you know that," I replied.

"I know you don't know much about her since you were in America, but just talk to her.Take her on dates. And then If you're willing and it goes well, then we can go with the flow. If not, we can cancel it. But I'm sure you won't say no," he said.

"Okay, but I'll only marry her if she agrees. Otherwise, no," I said as I got up from the chair and moved towards the door.

"Yeah, yeah," I heard him say as I closed the door behind me.
