Brooklyn stood there, gazing at Penelope's resting form, a mix of sorrow and uncertainty clouding his mind.

Junior approached him cautiously. "So, what now, Mr. Guy?"

Brooklyn let out a heavy sigh. "I...I don't know, kid. I want to break free from that woman, but if I do, the judge will most likely side with her and take Penelope away from me."

Cody, suggested, "What if we gather evidence of Penelope being abused? We could bring in outside sources, let people know."

Joseph chimed in, "But Penelope never mentioned any abuse to us. Her best friends, and yet she kept it hidden."

Junior remained optimistic, "Well, it's worth a try."

Joseph agreed, "Alright, let's do it."

As they visited Jeffy's house, Brooklyn poured his heart out to Rose and Marvin, his good friend, about the troubling situation with Penelope. Jeffy, their son, usually disinterested, perked up at the mention of his friend.

Jeffy exclaimed, "She... hurt... my best buddy?!"

Brooklyn nodded, a tinge of fear flickering in his eyes.

Brooklyn implored, "If you guys could lend your support, it would mean the world to me!"

Rose inquired, "What do you need us to do?"

Brooklyn responded, "For now, just testify in court when the time comes."

Marvin nodded determinedly, "Consider it done."

Unexpectedly, Jeffy leaped up, rummaging through his belongings, and pulled out a small camera. "Here, this is the camera my parents used to record instances of me being bullied!"

Brooklyn's eyes widened in gratitude. "Thank you, kid."
