The sun was beginning to set upon the city of stars, a light, warm breeze washing through it occasionally. As the sky began to dim, bidding a temporary farewell to the light of the large flaming orb, the moon began to peek over the horizon line, opposing the sun.

Two familiar boys were relaxing within the company of each other, inside of the apartment they called home. Benjamin Fairest, at last being freed from the torment of his infamous parents, decided to settle down alongside his boyfriend, Pico N. Grounds. The star-crossed lovers were both artists with dreams, supporting each other every step of the way.

It had been slightly over a year since the couple had taken a stand against Ben's parents at the mall during the Annual Fairest Meet and Greet. They both decided that they would babysit Skid and Pump and work part-time to save up the money for an apartment, managing to do so and afford the leasing together.

Benjamin was wearing an apron, working on a painting in the room him and Pico used for their artwork. Pico sat by a table next to where Benjamin was working, dried paint splattered all over it. The ginger was aware that his boyfriend would get thirsty while he was painting, so he made sure to monitor him just in case he turned to his tendency to drink paint water again.

Pico had a fresh cup of water ready, prepared for when he noticed Benjamin beginning to eye the cup of water he used to clean paint off of his brushes. However, Pico had to admit: he loved watching Benjamin paint his cares away. The blue-haired boy dipped his brush into the paint, lifting his hand up and treating the canvas with delicate strokes, leaving a beautiful cerulean color behind the path of the brush.

Pico rested his elbow on the table, keeping his head on his knuckle as he lovingly gazed at his partner doing what he loved most. Benjamin didn't notice he was staring at him until he put his paint palette down on the table, looking up at the ginger. He froze for a brief moment before speaking, a soft laugh audible in his voice as he spoke.

"Why are you staring at me like that..?"

Realizing that the painter noticed him staring, he continued to do so, locking his pale green eyes to Benjamin's deep ocean eyes. "Just admiring how focused you are. You never fail to amaze me, B.." Hearing his lover's words resulted in Ben's cheeks flushing a soft red, his ahoge wiggling in response.

"Thanks, Toughie." The spray painter smiled warmly at him, nodding back to his blue-haired boyfriend. He stood up from the chair, standing behind Benjamin so the two could admire his painting.

The canvas presented an astounding scene. A deep, blue sky settling above a silhouetted city. Benjamin chose to use multiple shades of green to portray different buildings and their distances. Closer buildings were painted with a darker green while farther buildings had been brushed with a lighter, pastel green. The gradience of the various green shades complimented each other as well as the blue sky that rested above them.

The two unintentionally let out a relaxed sigh together. Benjamin realized what both him and his boyfriend had done, turning back to look at Pico, who had realized the same thing. The two smiled, sharing contagious laughs together as the street artist embraced Benjamin with gentle arms resting around his torso.

After a few brief seconds of laughter, Ben and Pico looked at each other once again, the ginger starting.

"You've always been so talented, I'm proud of you, Softie."
