[???]: It's no secret that the K-pop industry is one of the most competitive music industries in the world.
[???]: In this dog-eat-dog industry, only the ones who come out on top survive. The underdogs? Left out to die.
[???]: However, in this show, we'll be giving 10 of these underdogs a fighting chance. We'll be giving them a platform to showcase their skills to everyone and prove they deserve to come out on top...as queens of the hill.
Silhouettes of girls suddenly appear. Different colors representing which groups they're in are their backgrounds.
[GIRL 1]: Our group is on the verge of disbandment. We've been pulling less than favorable sales, and our next comeback might be our last. I don't want my dream to end like this...
[GIRL 2]: I've been training ever since I was a child, and to see my hard work amount to almost nothing...it hurts me.
[GIRL 3]: Hopefully, here in South Korea, we'll be able to find more success. We're already considered failures in our own country, I don't want another country to see us as failures too. (in Japanese)
[???]: Unfortunately, only one of these groups can come out on top. Who that group is will be determined by you all, the viewers.
The mysterious figure walks into the spotlight to reveal herself as HUH YUNJIN of LE SSERAFIM.
[YUNJIN, MC]: Hi. I'm Yunjin, and I'll be your MC for this program. Welcome to "Queens of the Hill".
Yunjin smirks.
[YUNJIN, MC]: However, I don't think I can do this all on my own...Luckily, I've got mentors with me to help me guide these girls to stardom.
Four more spotlights are shown to reveal four ladies on a platform. WENDY of RED VELVET as the vocal mentor, SOYEON from (G)I-DLE as the rap mentor, CHUNGHA as the dance mentor, and IU as the idol mentor.
[IU, IDOL MENTOR (voiceover)]: As an active idol for more than 10 years now, you gain some life skills. So it feels quite nice to finally pass some of these skills down to these girls. I'll be looking forward to watching them grow and improve.
[SOYEON, RAP MENTOR (voiceover)]: I don't expect these girls to be perfect, but I expect them to be great. But...I'm not gonna shame them for being bad, that's some low-hanging stuff. I want them to improve organically and quickly, even if it means having to be strict.
[CHUNGHA, DANCE MENTOR (voiceover)]: I empathize with these girls. I was once a trainee too. But Produce 101 helped me greatly. It thrusted me into the spotlight and gained me lots of loyal fans, and I hope the same happens to them.
[WENDY, VOCAL MENTOR (voiceover)]: I'm gonna be honest...I'm kinda ,uh, nervous? *chuckle* This is my first time being a judge for this kind of program. But...I'm going to do my best to be as helpful to them, and I hope these girls will be cooperative with me too!
Wendy, Soyeon, Chungha, and IU step down from their platforms and join Yunjin at the center of the stage.
[YUNJIN, MC]: We're about to start...but I've got a question to ask. Mentors, are you ready?
All the mentors nod yes. Yunjin turns toward the participants.
[YUNJIN, MC]: GIRLS! ARE YOU READY?!?!
All the girls shout a very energetic and resounding yes.
[YUNJIN, MC]: Alright, since we're all ready, I think it's time to start the show. Good luck to all the girls...and may the best group be crowned "Queens of the Hill".
All the participants clap as the screen fades to black.
AN: Had this idea with me in my dream and decided to capitalize on it. This better not flop, istg
