Prologue

-what would you do for love?
                 
                                                     -everything.

To say that love was easy is lying. Helena Hesperia was never the loving type; she never had time because of her aristocratic father, until she met him. The dark brown eyes and mysterious aura of this man was interesting to say the least. When they met it was simply by chance, but as the days grew into months she noticed something odd. Everywhere she went he was there, he was also accompanied by another man, whom she had heard of.
Giovanni Russo.

The Russo's were a very rich and powerful family, so to see him with what looked like a commoner was rather odd. Their family was all about upholding an "image" they never conversed with the common folk only if necessary.

The Romano family was also a very rich and powerful family, but they, unlike the Russo's, did not care about an "image" to uphold. They loved to converse with whoever, whenever, and wherever. This was how Helena and Vivian met. They ran into each other quite literally at a ball Helena's father threw.

The highest families were invited that included the Romano and Russo families, along with a family who was new and had moved there a few short months before.

This family as Helena would find out is the Perreval family. A rather rich family who also like the Russo's, had an "image" to uphold. They attended this event with their son Jasper, a rather handsome fellow. He had women practically falling at his feet, but he didn't want them; he had his eyes on Helena.  He met her eyes from across the room and he was hooked. He excused himself from the conversation his parents and the Russo's were having and walked over to her.

They conversed with each other and had some good laughs, but as the night came to an end they had to part. He told her he would write to her and visit the Hesperia manor soon.And just like that she fell for him hard. She had never felt this way about someone and neither had he.
But they would soon find out that their love was not as formidable as it seemed.
