High above in the skies nearing the Hoenn region, seated in a plane full of many people all going to the same place, was a young woman by the name of Serena Yvonne.

As she sat in her economy class seat, silently staring out the window at the endlessly blue sky, the young woman found herself lost in thought.

She missed home, she really did. And even  though she knew she was completely safe, trading in familiarity for the unknown is always a challenge, even for the strongest of wills.

It had only been a few hours since the plane took off, sure, but the blonde haired girl continued to find herself thinking back on her life in Kalos while a wistful expression laid on her face.

All of the fun and all of the pain, the euphoric highs and the painful lows. Sights too beautiful to describe, memories too precious to ever forget, and battles with dangerous enemies that would forever be in mind.

Her journey through the region she called home really had it all, even run-ins with legendary Pokemon.

But for Serena, the thing that stuck the most to her, above all else, was her own personal growth.

Her journey, one started solely by a desire to see someone after many long years, really didn't have a goal beyond just that. Her life, one where her mother wanted her to follow the path she had taken, was one Serena very much wanted to deviate from.

Eventually though, with the help of those who she managed to befriend and travel beside, a goal was found for the young woman.

Pokemon preforming.

From the start of that dream with Poke-Vision videos, to the many missteps along the way towards her ultimate goal, and even the bitter defeat she faced at the end of it all, would all help to build Serena into the person she was today-

-That person being someone who was no longer walking without a purpose, without the passion to fight for what you love. Rather now, the young woman had dreams of her own, ones she would never stop chasing to one day make a reality.

Irregardless of all that growth though, the girl now sat alone on a plane amongst the crying children and snoring businessmen, all of whom were heading towards a region that was completely foreign to her.

There was no young girl to her left who was the closest to a younger sister she ever had. No boy to her right who was the smartest person she had ever met.

...and

As an all too familiar heat came to life in her cheeks, Serena shook away the thought, tears very much threatening to spill out of her eyes at that moment.

She very much wanted to cry, memories of her long and life changing journey all flooding her mind as she saw the shoreline of Hoenn start to appear through the window.

Serena missed them, she really did, but the young woman promised to be strong, both for herself and for them.

"Never give up till the end." she muttered to herself as a certain raven haired boy came to mind.

He wouldn't sit there and cry in depression, he would get out there and get stronger, meet new people, and chase his dream.
