The ticking clock, forever marching on
Each moment fading, the next reborn
Through seasons cycling, years swiftly fly
As mortal lifetimes begin and die
Youth's springtime blossoms, their petals shed
Giving way to summer's passions red
Autumn's leaves falling, winter's chill
The wheel spins round, but time stands still
Life's joys and sorrows, each has its place
Shadow and light, weeping and grace
The river flows on, the horizon vast
Mysteries remain until we breathe our last
So savor each instant before it's gone
Dance in the sun before night comes on
For soon we'll sleep, our brief moment done
Our roots return home, our branches undone
