So the gist is that Reader is a variable like X is. Variable: Y (not me googling most common variables -_-)
You walked over to your best friend (And secret crush) X,
they were sitting and playing with a random flower they'd found.
You were just like X in a way, in the sense you were a variable,
You had similar thoughts and friends despite the fact that you were 2 different variables,
and you liked that,
you fit together so well with them but also had a stark contrast,
and it always felt nice to be around them,
someone who could understand you and listen.
"Hello Y, why are you staring at me?" X said.
Your train of thought had been broken and you were brought back to the real world,
"Yes X, i'm okay." You replied, blush was now covering your face from embarrassment.
"Do you want this flower Y?" They asked, lifting their arm up and out to you,
you took it, admiring the beautiful petals,
"You look very pretty today" They said, admiring you with their soft eyes,
you smile at them and reach your free hand out to grab his,
and you two sit there,
looking at the sunrise,
no thoughts going through either of your heads,
just the fuzzy,
warm,
and pleasant,
feeling of being around each other.
