Practice kicked my ass today. It was way worse than any other day but that was only because of the game we have coming up

Coach makes sure we're all prepared for that day so nobody messes up. I don't blame him because if we lose I will be anything but happy

"What time are we all heading over to the track?," Hale asks while slinging his bag over his shoulder

I thought about the race that'll take place tonight. The bet me and Quinn made the night she raced me

The girls a really good racer. I was in shock when I found out it was her who crossed that line before me

Fist bumping him I get up grabbing my probably smelly gym bag and walk out of the rink with him by my side

What if she wins again

I can't have that

But it's not like her end of the deal was that good. She still doesn't know what she wants

Hopefully it's something that has nothing to do with dating. I can't do a relationship

Flings are acceptable not girlfriends

Can't be distracted

My father will be upset if I mess my chances up in hockey. Even if he isn't in me and my moms life

He's strict. Especially when it comes to my sport

My life

"What's up with you and Quinn?."

Of all people he wanted to know about. He has to want her. Why else would he care?

Hale is more of a fuck boy than me I don't understand how anyone else is blinded by him

"Nothing."

"Yeah right. Tell your bed that. See what it says." he says before throwing his bag into his trunk

I snort. "You're an idiot. Me and Quinn will never be a thing. Even if I think she's hot. I just wanna fuck her."

He shrugs before shutting his trunk and hopping into his car. Crazy ass teammates I tell you

Quinn and I will never be a thing. Just friends with benefits. I may flirt with her but it's only so I can get her into my room

From the beginning I said I don't do relationships. So if she gets mad at me for speaking to other girls that's on her

I've never said we were a thing

I never will say that

...

I arrived at the hockey house in less than 15 minutes. But as soon as I walked inside there he was. My father. My dad. The man I looked up to when I was younger

Well that changed way back when I turned the age of 14. I look up to no one now. No one but my coach at least

"Hello Corbin," he says not moving an inch. I'm guessing he's just gonna stand here with his hands crossed like the business man he is

"Hi Luther"

I for one will give him the cold shoulder back. And fuck him he used my middle name

"So how was practice?," he looks down at my bag and back up at me

I scoffed so loud. "Right. It was everything I dreamed it to be," I walk into the kitchen and grab me a drink  not even offering him anything

He doesn't deserve anything to eat out of here or anywhere else if I care
