Backup battery: 145% full, is damaged so it drains faster, needs to get fixed, and it fills very slowly.

Problem has been notified and listed, now added to mission "self repair"

It gets up, with a creaking sound, as scrap and more falls off of them, as it stands up, it inspects its surroundings, knowing where it is from its last data log from first re-activation.

It gets up and tests its motor functions, and sees it can walk around still, it first focuses on fixing its back up battery before fixing the arm and hand, since power source is more important.

Light blue like led lights appear on the smooth surface of its head, forming eyes, and a mouth.

Sight has been restored, emotions are temporarily muted, so are artificial pain sensors, and other unnecessary human-like emotions and feelings for a temporary time, until full recovery is completed to the least.


It walks over to some scrap and cords, taking them out, and the electronic head of it opens like a jaw, and it eats the metal, and other components, to have its body work on the repairs, apparently my main voice is damaged, as it comes out a bit  staticky.

I open a data screen in mid air, as it shows with a light blue tinge glow for me, mostly translucent, i scan the area for more compatible components and well i'll be damned there's tons.

As i munch away at the scrap metal, and computer components i could get my hands on from all around, the completion bar finally hits 100%, as i get a notification

Max items needed for rebuilation of back up battery source, and active solar panels have been met. Would you like to turn off during this time, it lasts for 5 hours.
I stare at the notification for a bit, sighing

I select yes, after I find a suitable spot to shut down in as i see my battery i had saved up was already at 75%.

Kids playing near Municipal Beach one of said kids was mei hatsume, who was collecting some scrap metal, only to be pushed by one of the kids who called her a freak, making her fall down the hole.

Mei: h-uh-
She landed her head onto a microwave, before hitting the sandy ground, the kids who pushed her already left, and mei was out cold.

Mei woke up feeling light headed, as a sharp pain was a new constant through her head, she checked herself and her head for any damage, thankfully her head didn't break, nor did she break anything else.

Nonetheless she did have cuts among her arms from the fall still,
After checking herself, she saw it...a humanoid robot, she knew what it was, but why was it here, why was a robot here, she could tell it was still active, as it was taking it self apart and fixing it self with metallic arms coming from the back and sides,

Mei: woah ... .so cool...
Its a real fucking robot, so cool...i wonder why its out here, in the dumps?
Does it have an owner?
Who would leave it out here, is it a failure?

Mei: hello...are you responsive?
She didn't get any response back, and she went near it only for her to hear.

Warning, do not come closer, or you will be perceived as an active threat to current self during repair mode.

Mei stops in her tracks, as she could tell it probably wasn't lying, and would get attacked, but when she saw no change or weapons being pointed at her, it made her confused, making her come closer to it.

...please wait until repair is done, the state is currently vulnerable.

Mei: how much longer is "almost done" be?
A silence fills the area, as it replies back with.
15 minutes until the main critical repair is done.

Mei decided to wait, and so she sat down, 15 minutes later, she hears
Ding, main damage repairs are done, low battery, shutting down to charge....
...system in sleep mode.
She watched as all of the smaller arms go back into the one metallic humanoid like body, as it seems to have finished fixing its arm, and some other things she couldn't see, must have been internal damaged parts.
She thinks about taking it back to the workshop, after all, what could go wrong, it's just a random intelligent android...that's somewhat broken...right?
