The V's

As I said, so I did. It took me a few weeks, but I managed to make friends among the Overlords, and I ended up there as well. I joined a group called The V's. The first member I had the pleasure of meeting was Velvette. She had long, black-red hair braided into two large ponytails. Her eyes were red in color. She wore skull earrings. She was dressed quite elegantly. She was wearing a black vest with a high neckline big top underneath and black red denim style pants. Behind them was a navy blue cape. On her feet, she wore elegant, black high-heeled shoes. She had a lot of recognition in hell, which she gained thanks to being an influencer on various social networks. Personally, she was my favorite of the three I joined, and she liked me a lot too.

The next one was Vox. A tall and slender businessman and television presenter. He owned his own company called VoxTek. He was involved in the production and sale of household appliances and electronics, as well as appearing on various television programs to inspire the demons' confidence in her products. A medium-sized TV served as his head. He also had red eyes, but also a smile that could be seen with countless razor-sharp teeth. He was dressed in a light navy suit along with a red bow tie and a red and black striped shirt. His pants were made of a special, delicate material that cost a fortune in hell. He wore black and cyan patent leather shoes on his legs. For me, he was pretty neutral and so was I.

The last member was Valentino. My least favorite of them all. He was the director of Tower V, where he recorded popular  in the kingdom of darkness pornography. A thin, tall, fur-clad demon was terribly annoying to me. Mainly because of his relationship with Vox, because they were always together and then they went their separate ways and you didn't know when they were together and when they weren't. Luckily, Velvette always recorded them in some romantic situations. At least there was proof of their fleeting love. Anyway, Valentino had dark pink eyes and, as I said, he was dressed in a red and white fur coat, which he always buttoned up. He was the only one of the four of us who wore glasses. He also wore a hat on his head and always had his cigar with him, which he smoked literally always.

Coming back, I became an Overlord  thanks to them. Now I didn't really need them anymore, but I stayed because I wanted Velvette. However, I went to my first meeting of the elite of hell with her for thousands of years, and it turned out that the authority I saw in her was not real. She behaved insolently towards other members of this elite:

-So it's time to start the meeting! - Overlord Deputy Leader Carmilla Carmine stated.

-Oh, what's the matter, fossil? - Velvette said to Zestial, the leader of the Overlords.

-Be respectful! - Carmilla pointed out to her.

-Velvette, stop interrupting the meeting - I said to her. - Maybe they're trying to tell us something important!

-OKEY I'm sitting down now, and I'm not disturbing you! - said Velvette full of rage.

- Different from all the V's - Carmilla thought

Despite the girl's apparent annoyance, she did what she said. She sat down next to me and sat quietly, just listening to what was being said. Namely, it was about the fact that we, as Overlords, are becoming stronger and stronger. Even then, I learned that one of the demons was able to kill an angel during the Great Extermination, which is the annual festival of angels, where angels descend into the kingdom of darkness and kill all demons they encounter for entertainment. Killing an angel in hell during this festival is a great achievement, for angels were said to be immortal and could not be killed by anything. After the meeting was over, when all the members of the elite had already left, I was invited for a moment to talk privately by Carmilla Carmine.

-You're probably wondering...- she began. - What I want to talk to you about without witnesses

-Yes, it's a bit puzzling - I confirmed. - Especially since I'm a member of The V's, who you can easily guess you don't like because of how brazenly they call Zestial

-You're quick to analyze the situation- Carmilla pointed out. - Before we begin, what's your name?"

- I'm Zero - I introduced myself. - But you can call me Vero, 'cause that's my first name.

-So Zero, I saw some potential in you to be a strong demon - she began - In addition, you take care of your image through the way you dress and the way you behave, as I could see from the way you dared to point out Velvette

- Thank you- I thanked her.

- I'd also like you to train with you and for you  leave this nasty organization you're a part of," she suggested. "What do you say?"

- I agree - I said. - It will be a pleasure to work with you, Carmilla. Not with them. Especially with Valentino.

- I'm glad - she concluded. - So we start training tomorrow

- Exactly - I nodded. - And I'm going to leave The V's today, just give me your address so I know where to find you

- You'll find me on the black market from 6 AM to 6 PM at a stand selling weapons of various kinds - she said.- If I'm not there, it's going to be one of my daughters, so just ask about me and they'll tell you where to look for me

- Okay - I confirmed. - I'll see you then."

- I'll see you later -  she said.- goodbye

All this time Velvette was waiting for me in front of the entrance. She asked me what Carmilla wanted to talk to me about. I lied when I said that she simply wanted to introduce me to the duties of Overlord, as I was a new member of the elite. I wanted to walk away from The V's with all the members.

When we got back to our headquarters, Valentino was already there, but Vox was missing. I asked him where ,,his lover'' had gone. He told me that Vox was fighting another Overlord called Alastor for popularity in the media. Vox is about television and its popularity, while Alastor is about radio and its popularity. While we were waiting for him, Velvette and I were talking to Valentino about what had happened at the meeting. At some point in our conversation, the power went out and after a short while, Vox came. That's when I told them I was leaving The V's and that it was a lie what Carmilla had told me, what I had said to Velvette. After that, as if nothing had happened, I left the headquarters satisfied and never returned there.
