A.N. Hello, this is my new Fanfiction, I hope it is of your liking, this Fanfiction will include special chapters, that means there will be alternate chapters aired at the same time, Chapters that are different but will take you to the same point.

~Link's POV~
Just a month since Midna had left, a month of celebration in Hyrule and of congratulating me. 'Hero' they call me, but when I became one it wasn't my purpose to do it, but that is what everyone else was expecting from me, to become a savior, to become a legend: 'Long live the Hero', is what everyone says, but they never think that my purpose was something else: Protect the ones I love.

I lean on a pillar at the entrance of Hyrule, the music and talks of people can be heard from the ballroom.

X: Alone again huh?...- I turn my face to the man that holds his hand on my shoulder.

Link: Shad, why do you always have to come and try to convince me for coming?- Extra footsteps make an entrance to my pointed ears.

X: This time he doesn't, but I do.- The female figure talks to me.

Link: Princess Zelda... I have no intention of going into the ball, it's been a whole month. I beg your pardon.- I take Shad's arm off my shoulder and politely bow to Princess Zelda, who looks at Shad in a sign of "please leave". Shad nods and walks away.

Zelda: Link, is something not of your liking? We could rearrange whatever is bothering you.

Link: Oh no your Highness, everything is of my liking, I'm just feeling tired. I know I'm the Guest of Honor, but I don't feel like being in a party today.

Zelda: May I ask why? I know you're lying by just looking at your face.- I turn my face away and smile bitterly.

Link: Well, now I see one of the reasons you have the Triforce of Wisdom. Please excuse me.- Once again I bow and walk to the exit without looking behind.

The plaza and the houses are empty except for the guards the are in the entrance. I walk to the alley and take my formal clothes off, I run my fingers frustratedly through my blonde hair. From my equipment I grab my tunic and get changed, then put my formal clothes inside my equipment bag again. I lean on a wall, crumbling down to the floor and sighing.

Link: I won't come tomorrow night... I think it's enough for today. There might be some milk left of my bag...- My fingers move slowly through my stuff and I touch something that feels like a crystal.

Link: There it is...- I stand, and start walking through the exit while drinking the half portion of milk left, which makes my energy replenish instantly.

Link: I feel way better.- I smile and finally get to where Epona is.

Link: Sorry for making you wait.- I pet her soft face and hop on her saddle.

Link: Ready? Hyet!- She gallops really fast and my hair is blown by the soft summer breeze.

Link: Peace has been long, but peace is never eternal...- My hand reaches Epona's hair, which I forgot to brush.

Link: Forgive me for not taking care of you. These days I've been really selfish.- She turns at me and neighs softly, my lips curl into a smile, I know she forgives me.
