"What lecture are you doing today?"

I smiled at my father as I pushed the weight up into the air again, "Quantum physics, astrophysics and chartered accountancy" I said as I brought the weight down to my chest then pushed it up again into the air. "Your accent will always be so funny to me" He said making me shake my head as I did my final set.

I put the weight back down on the rack as I sighed and grabbed the towel, "Angelo has some questions about one of your degree's." He said as I wiped the towel around my neck, "He thinks that might be the one he wants to do" He said making me raise my eyebrows.

"And which one is that?" I asked as I wiped the other side of the towel to wipe the sweat off my face. The term 'one of your degrees' will never not be amusing to me. I geuinely do not know why but it is so very amusing, "Engineering. Aerospace to be exact" He said as I looked at the clock. "That is interesting" I said as we walked out of the home gym and into the hallway.

"I'll call him later tonight, you're off to Sicily now?" I asked and he nodded as I grabbed my sweater. I opened it up and pulled the black hoodie over my head before straightening it out, I grabbed my gym bag off the chestwood table and fixed the vase filled with hydranges that I moved in order to fit my gym bag.

I turned and faced my dad as I held my hand out, he took it and we hugged each other. "Safe travels" We both said in sync, he kissed my head as I pulled away and walked towards the front door. I grabbed my motorcycle helemt off another chestwood table that had pink tulips on it.

My mother and her flowers.

I opened the front door to be met with a somewhat light shade of dark blue, I closed the door behind me and walked over to my motorcylce. The sun will be rising soon which means I need to be home very quickly, I put on my helmet as I started up my motorcycle.

I got on and pulled onto the road as I started to speed up. When I moved to London what seems like so long ago, my parents but multipe houses here so whenever I needed them or whenever they felt like they could easily come visit me.

When I was a child I made it abundantly clear that I did not want them visiting, the whole point was to get them off the back of my neck which they did not respect but now that I am twenty they are starting to visit more often than they did.

I pulled out my keycard and held up the barcode to the scanner making the parking lot door open up. I sped up the ramp and turned right as I sped up past someone existing the parking lot, even though this is a loft building their parking lot is very nice. A lot of spots available even though there is only about a handful of us here.

I pulled into my parking spot and turned off my motorcycle, I pulled the helmet off my head as I got off my motorcycle and let out a breathleless sigh.

I got off my motorcycle and walked over to the door that leads to the lobby for the parking area. I tapped my keycard making the doors open up, I walked past the elevator doors and tapped my keycard again making the doors for the stairs open up.

I rarely ever take the elevator, my time on this earth is limited so there are a lot of things I don't do because I believe that they waste my precious time.

I pulled open the door and walked onto my apartment floor, I walked over to my apartment door and inserted my keycard unlocking the door. I opened it and walked inside allowing the smell of cedarwood infiltrated my nose.

Home.

I closed the door behind me as I put my helmet on the mini brown table I got as a gift from one of my students. I looked around at my apartment which is being shined on by the now rising sun.
