I'm awoken from pounding on my door and look at my alarm clock half asleep I see the time reads 7:05.
"Blakely don't make me come in there!" I hear my oldest brother Darry shout sending my body cold. I pull myself out of bed and drag myself over to my door and open it.
I walk over to the bathroom start brushing my teeth and then wash my face before going back into my room and getting dressed. I put on some jeans and a black long sleeve that I wear with one of Pony's old leather jacket because it's getting cold outside. Then I brush out my long brown hair.
I walk down to my kitchen wear the gang is already sprawled out in my kitchen and living room. Johnny is still sleeping on the couch with his head on Dally's lap as Dally is also sleeping. Dally and Johnny were so close it was like found family since Johnny's family wasn't the greatest. I sit down and pour myself some cereal and spoon a heaping spoonful into my mouth. "
"Slow down blakely don't choke" Steve says ruffling my hair and then sitting down next to me pouring a bowl of cereal. I roll my eyes which results in me getting a soft wack against the back of my head.
"Whats with the attitude Blake" Darry says grinning as he sips his coffee. I internally roll my eyes. Why is he so cheery.
"I don't want to go to school please just call me in sick" I beg with my best puppy dog eyes but Darry shakes his head and I groan getting up and putting my empty cereal bowl in the sink and walking past Darry annoyed as I grab my backpack.
"Come on pony we're gonna be late" I groan annoyed waiting for pony boy as I go sit on the chair and put on my converse that used to be pony's before he outgrew them. Pony boy walks down the stairs ready to go and says goodbye to darry giving him a hug and I walk out to the door. I just really want this day to be over with already.
I start walking I know the gang doesn't like when I walk alone but pony will catch up to me. I don't know why I'm so moody today. Maybe it's the fact that I don't have any friends and it's almost 2 months back to school. They hear Blakely Curtis and they don't want to talk to me. Gravel crunches beneath me and a hand is placed on my shoulder scaring me I jump around just to see an out of breathe pony boy.
"Don't scare me like that!" I say half yelling, but pony boy just rolls his eyes still trying to catch his breath. "You know you can't walk alone you're supposed to wait for us!" Pony boy and Johnny says. Johnny is still rubbing the sleep from his eyes which I take it as he just woke up a little bit ago. We keep walking to school and I see a bracelet on the ground. I pick it up and start examining it. Putting it on I realize it's a really nice bracelet. Welp finders keepers.
Pony boy and Johnny drop me off at my school before they go over to there high school. "Remember meet us by the bike racks." Pony says as he walks away and I nod before going into my school.'
Going to school is the one thing I dread every day; I would much rather do chores all day than go to school. I'm not even good at it I get all C's. Unlike golden child Ponyboy. Once I open my locker some girl closes it and I look over to see one of the annoying soc's.
"What do you want?" I ask annoyed and roll my eyes. "You have my bracelet! So you stole it give it back!" The annoying soc says in her winey ass voice. "I didn't steal it, I found it on the ground on my way to school." I say, I'm a greaser but I'm not a thief. "Ya ya okay sure now give it back." The Soc says reaching for the bracelet. "Fine but first say I didn't steal it." I say putting my arm behind my back. The Soc looks shocked that I'm not doing what she asks but I'm a Curtis after all. "F-fine you didn't steal it." She says with an annoyed tone as her cheeks get red out of embarrassment. I take off the bracelet an dangle it infront of her face. Before she can grab it I drop it and walk away to my math class.
After school I have my cheerleading practice I know it's not very common for a greaser to be a cheerleader but they Invited me after seeing my tumbling in my front yard. Which Dally tought me to do one summer, I wonder why they didn't invite Dally. I meet with pony boy before walking over to the high school which he walks me into because it's dangerous for a little greaser even if you're a girl. Soc's show no mercy. I've been ganged up on so many times yet no greaser has ganged up on a little Soc.
"Goodbye pony" I say as I hug him and then do the same for Johnny. I see the gang as my family so I don't think it's wierd to hug them. Especially Dally. Dally is like another brother to me one that actually cares, I know my siblings don't actually like me. Especially Darry, Darry is always yelling at me and telling me how much of a disappointment I am.
After I change into shorts and a shirt I walk out to the track by the rest of the cheer team and set my bag down against the bleachers. Being a middle schooler on a high school cheer team is really hard. We start with a warm up consisting of running the track once, 50 jumping jacks, 20 push ups and lastly 20 sit ups. Then we practice some cheers, stunts basic stuff like that. Our game is tomorrow so we were really making sure everything looks good.
After practice I get picked up by Darry. "Are you okay Blake?" Darry says glancing at me and I roll my eyes. "Ya why?" I say and he huffs annoyed. "You're just very disrespectful today. And I want to know if you on your lady days before I ground you." He says and I internally roll my eyes. "No im not on my period." I say and he sighs. "Then what is wrong with you." He asks as we pull into the driveway. "Nothing is wrong why do I have to be cheery all the time!" I almost yell and Darry grows furious. "That's it Blake you are grounded! For 1 week school, cheer, home that's it. No going out with the gang, nothing!" Darry says and I yell out of frustration. "UGH THIS IS SO UNFAIR!" I yell while slamming the truck door and storming inside.
Of course the gang is here. I storm into my room while Darry calls behind me. "Blakely come here right now!" He says and I slam my door instead. "FINE YOU MADE IT THIS 3 WEEKS!" He yells and I hop on my bed. I wish my parents were here. My
Mom would understand why I'm like this. I need to get out of this town.
