Chapter One - Visiting My Friend's

I was in my room thinking about how I'm gonna miss Seattle my friend and everything else. I didn't want to move away but my parents insist.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to move because I'm moving to a whole different place and Scotland wouldn't feel like home to me.

I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I said. The door opened and my mom walked in the room.

"Hey hunny" mom said sweetly, "let me guess, you're still upset about moving away" mom asked me with a calm look on her face. I gave my mom a look and sighed and replied "Yeah, I don't know if I want to leave Seattle, I mean Scotland won't be the same" I said as I started frowning and looking my mom.

"I know sweetie but you gotta give It
a chance" mom replied. I looked down at the ground in silence. My mother approached me and put her arm around my neck onto my shoulders.

"Look dear, I promise you that you'll like your new home and you will make some new friends" mom said with a smile on her face. "I doubt it" I replied still looking down at the ground. Mom sighed and I looked up at her to see that her smile has faded.

I hate to see my mom sad and it breaks my heart to not see Her smile. "You know that if you start to try something new you'll begin to like it and understand that it's not so bad after all" Mom said. I looked into my mom's eye after she said that. "Yeah, I know" I said with a slight smile on my face. "I guess I'll give it a try" I said. "I'm happy to hear that Annabelle" mom said with a huge smile on her face.

I thought back when she said I'll make new friends I ended up letting out a big sigh. "What's wrong" She asked me. I looked
at her with a faded smile. "Remember when you said that I'll make new friends" I asked her. Mom just nodded her head and said "Yeah".

I sighed again before speaking again, "Well I don't know if I'll make any new friends there" I said trying not to make a scene. She looked at me confused "Why would you say that" She asked me. "Well I love the friends that I have here in Seattle and I don't want them to feel like I have replaced them" I said feeling lost.

Mom just smiled and said "Your friends won't feel like you've replaced them, the only way that they'll feel like you replaced them is if you don't talk to them anymore and ignore them that's where they'll feel upset, but, you've done nothing wrong for them to think that, it's okay if you make new friends, trust me I've been there"

I looked at my mom and smiled back at her. "I guess your right" I said, "That's my girl" Mom said with a huge smile. "Mom is ok if I go to my friend's house before we move" I asked hoping she'll say yes. Mom smiled and nodded yes. I jumped with happiness and gave my mom a big hug.

"Anna, remember what I told you" said mom with a you better remember little girl look on her face. "I know mom" I replied and she just giggled.

I ran downstairs to find the rest of my siblings doing what they usually do every morning. "What's the rush" My older brother Lucas asked me. "I'm going to my friend's house before we leave" I replied. "Wait but I wanna go too" Said my little sister Ella.

"Me too" Said my other little sister Bella. "Yeah I want to too" Said my little brother Liam.

"Hold up you all can't go" Said mom directly behind me. "That's not fair Anna gets to go" Liam said whining. "There isn't anyone there that will be watching y'all" mom replied to Liam. "Don't worry mom I can watch them" Said Lucas.

Mom nodded and told us we have to be on our best behaviors. We all nodded and gave her a hug. Our father was not home at the moment because he was visiting a
good friend of his.

We followed Lucas to the van as we waved to our mom good bye.

The ride was chaotic like always. But we managed to get along for the first time ever. When we arrived, we each got out of the van and walked towards the doorstep.
