Rain woke up from the loud banging on his door and a voice that screamed, "Get the hell up! It's Monday, and you know how I hate being late on Mondays!" Rain groans and covers his ears with his hands. That's definitely Sky with his aggressiveness early in the morning. He wanted to sleep for a few more minutes to tease his best friend, but he knew the latter would kick his door open to pull him out of bed if he could. And to save his poor door from being shattered, he slowly rose from the bed, picking his towel up from the rack to shower.
At the other part of the house, Sky is preparing the other's lunch, with his mother lecturing him about ensuring that Rain eats his food.
"I know, mae. He does eat it, I'm sure. I'm always with him during lunch." Sky said as he put both of their food inside their bag. As soon as he sat down for breakfast, Rain appeared fresh out of the shower.
"Hey, dry your hair. You'll catch a cold, dumbass." Sky snatched the towel out of his hand to dry Rain's hair. The latter basks in the motherly affection that his best friend always spoils him with. Droplets of water splashed on the floor as Sky dried the other's hair like a puppy.
"Come take your breakfast fast. You have ten minutes before you have to leave. Raindrop, don't forget your orange juice; it's in the fridge."
"Yes, made!"
The morning at the university was uneventful, but it was tiring though. Their first class was an information overload for Rain's brain. Luckily, his friend Ple promised to lend him her written notes so he could take a breather from everything.
"What are you eating?" Sig asked in an excited tone while hopping on his feet. "I'll be eating at one of the library quiet rooms, though. You guys can go ahead," Sky squints at him. Rain has been going to the library an insane amount of times when the professors haven't assigned any work for them that requires it.
"Don't look at me like that. I just wanted to read some books. Nosy," he scoffs as Sky puts a hand on his chest, looking offended before the latter rolls his eyes at him. "Make sure you eat your lunch. Mae's gonna have my head if he finds out you're not eating."
"Yeah, yeah, don't forget to message me when you're on your way back." Rain said as Sky swatts his hand at him.
The library was a bit far from their room, it would take him almost five minutes to get there. And he hates people, those nosy strangers who kept pestering him and getting all up in his business. His parents taught him to never resolve through violence, he was nurtured to be kindhearted, which was a trouble for him now that he's out in the real world.
"Oh, look, who's here? Are you gonna study nerdy pants?" Rain sighed; he was literally minding his own business. He continued walking; just a few more steps to go, he thought to himself.
As his hand gets a hold of the knob, a hand is on his shoulder, pulling him back.
"Hey! I'm talking to—"
Just as his ass met the cement ground, another voice interrupted the scene. "What are you doing?" The voice was familiar to him, one who's always been present in times like this. "P'Pai..." The boys ran away just as soon as a hand entered Rain's view. He accepted it and was pulled up from the ground. "You okay? Again?" Prapai asked with worry that was not seen by the younger.
