So we have this competition every year when you dance and lip-sync to this song that our houses choose. A house is a kind of a group you are in for the rest of your time in school and can be named like colours, animals etc... So in my school we have 6 colours Orange, Red, Green, Blue, yellow and Purple and I'm in purple (The best) so everyone in every year group is in one of those houses and your whole homeroom/form class is in the same house as you are.
Your house had to decide on what 3 songs you wanted to mash up to make the song that your lipsyncing. So I participated this year and last year but the thing I didn't like was that we had to miss our breaks to practise dancing and decide what we were going to wear (We had to buy it ourselves).
So once when we arrived at the place where we were going to practice, we didn't have time to eat so we had to go straight into practice and after the break ended, my class had textiles so we told our teacher that we hadn't eaten our lunch and asked if we could eat in class. The teacher said we had to eat outside so we didn't get crumbs on the floor. We all understood so we went outside in the hallway and ate quickly. There was this mean girl in my class (let's call her JJ) and she and her friends went to fill up their water bottles with the water filler down the hall.
They stupidly ran back down the hall after that even though we are always told not to run down the hall and JJ slipped and fell on her nose. I know it sounds cruel but I was trying so hard not to laugh at her but since I was so nice, I told the teacher what happened since I finished my food and she went and told the nurse and 5 minutes later she came back to the teacher came back to class. JJ didn't show up to all of her next classes and didn't show up the next day but the day after, she showed up. Her nose looked better but I think she overreacted slightly.
If you wanted to know, My house came third in that competition and even my friends who weren't in my house were saying that they thought that my house should have gotten at least second place.
