♥Chapter 2 - 'Our spot'♥

♣It's about midnight and the only thing that could be heard is the odd gust of wind. I toss and turn trying to feel tired but something doesn't feel right. I hop up out of bed and put a jacket on creeping out of the tent as to not wake georgina, I arrive towards the lake remembering all the memories, the summers we spent here, the tire swing we built, the waterfights, the laughter all of it I shed a tear and continue to the tree we hung out at. 

♣The picnics, the endless games of chess, she won every time of course. I sit down everything was purple and dark other then the white glimpses of the moon in the ripples of the lake, Where did we go wrong? 3 years ago the 4 of us were living our best lives, I begin to sob, If only she were here. It was at this moment I heard the familiar sound of squelching mud. turning suddenly a figure was coming towards me, perhaps it was one of georginas friends? "Hey stranger" A low and tired voice says, I'd know her voice from a mile away "What are you doing here Val?" I ask looking back towards the lake, she sits down next to me, "It was her spot, I knew you'd be here" She says "You still think about it, don't you?" I nod. "If I'd picked up that night" I started, "Nix." She says her voice enough to give me chills down my spine, "It's not your fault. What happened that night, you can't blame yourself"♣

♣The silence was finally broke by the sound of mud as she stands up, "come on, walk with me?" She asks, I follow, she offers me an airpod and we listen to lil peep walking back to the tents, Val hears something that makes us both stop in our tracks and pause the music. A woman's voice, in the bushes "Its so deep" a girl whined followed by whimpering. Val looks at me looking traumatised as we both run back to the tents, laughing "What kind of people did you invite??" Val says, practically collapsing from laughing so hard "I don't know georgina probably invited them" I say through my laughter gasping for air♣

♣It all eventually died down and we returned to our tents, "where'd you go?" Georgina says sitting up, hugging her my melody teddy bear. "Just went for a walk, by the way 2 people were shagging in a bush near us so who'd you invite?" I say chuckling. She looks at me laughing as well before changing the subject, I climb into bed and before I knew it I was asleep♣
