Chapter Three

Once dressed in what she had wore against the war: silver arm guards that matched her silver knee high boots and armored corset, black leggings that were made out of tear resistant material tucked into her boots, and a black long sleeve shirt. Her long black hair fell down her back, a long black cloak covered her from head to toe, the hood when pulled up able to cast her whole face into shadow.

On her back was strapped a silver and black round shield, sticking out of her boots were two daggers, on her left hip sat Riptide sitting in a sheath, and lastly...

"Here," Eru said, stepping in front of her, holding out a long object covered in a gold cloth.

"What is it?" She gently removed the cloth, unable to hold in her gasp at the sight of what was revealed.

Inside was a sea green and black with gold streaks staff, the top twisted into what looked like waves around a dark blue orb.

"I thought you wanted me to be disguised as a warrior? I'm not going to be able to get away with that for long, especially if I run into another Istari, with a wizard's staff."

"Take it," he urged. Percy sighed but picked it up, she felt it tingle before it condensed into a bracelet and ring that were attached together by a small chain and a smaller version of the blue orb. "It will turn into a staff when you need it to. It is to help you concentrate your power a bit more as I know its been quite awhile since you've had to limit your power as you have."

"Thank you, my friend."

"Of course. Thank you for agreeing to help," with a snap, her surroundings disappeared in a flash.

Blinking her eyes to readjust them, she was able to take in her new surroundings.

Hobbit homes as far as her eyes could tell, so she was in the land of the Hobbits.

It was around midday so taking a breath, Percy started to move only to pause at the feel of a pack at her feet. She bent down and a cursor look over the items revealed money, rations, and a water skin as well as healer supplies and a change of clothes. She donned the pack over her one shoulder and continued on.

She began to slowly enter the rolling, bright green hills, drawing her hood down and moving her cloak to cover her weapons to appear as least threatening as possible.

Soon enough, Percy encountered her first hobbits, whom stopped chattering to each other at the sight of her.

"Hello, Master Hobbits! I am from a nearby human establishment and have heard of the delicacies offered here at one of your establishments and thought to stop by and try them, if I may?" The two male hobbits hesitated, slightly hesitant of a stranger, but their overall manners and politeness of a hobbit overrode their caution... and it was almost lunch time too.

"Of course, traveler! We here in Bywater have the best dishes in the Shire. Hobbitton, Tuckborough, Buckland, and Michael Delving wish they had as good dishes as us! Come, come, we will take you to the Green Dragon Inn, we were on our way there ourselves!"

"Oh, thank you! My name is Percy, may I inquire yours?" Percy began to follow the chattering duo through the rolling hills.

"I am Adal Brandybuck and this is my twin brother Amal Brandybuck, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Percy."

Arriving at the inn/tavern, the pair of brothers were able to ease the other hobbits slight nervousness of having a stranger and a human around, and soon, merriment came as more and more hobbits came in for lunch before they would be heading back out on their tasks.
