"Good morning everyone!"
The staff turned their heads towards the door and bowed, greeting their boss politely.
"Good morning, Unnie" greeted the manager who quickly went up to the young woman's side. "How was your trip?"
"Fun but tiring." Tiffany smiled as she checked everything in the café.
"Do you want to review the sales from last week?" She followed the woman around and to the back of the establishment.
"Sure. How were the sales of the new drinks and food?" Tiffany asked as she took a seat in the office.
"The new pasta dishes are selling well. We even ran out of sauce a few times last week."
She smiled. "Good."
"But there seems to be little interest for the finger food and the drinks." Seohyun checked the tablet she was holding.
"Ah too bad. Well, it's only been a week. Let's hope sales improve. Anything else?" Tiffany leaned back after turning her computer on.
"There were some problems with the bubble tea shop so I sent Yuri over to help when we could spare him." reported Seohyun.
Tiffany nodded. "Okay, I'll drop by the shop later."
"That's it Unnie. The sales and stock reports from both the café and the bubble tea shop are all in the system."
"Thanks." Tiffany paused. "How did Yuri do over there?"
"Pretty well according to the staff. They kept asking for her to just moved there permanently."
Tiffany furrowed her brows. "Hmm... Okay. Can you send her here after this?"
"Sure. Anything else?"
"That's it for now. Thank you for taking care of things for me while I'm away."
"No problem, Unnie." Seohyun bowed and left the office.
A young woman knocked on the open door soon after. "Excuse me, Unnie? Seohyun told me you wanted to see me."
"Come in, Yuri. Have a seat." Tiffany gestured to one of the chairs across from her.
The young woman hesitantly sat down.
"How do you like working here so far?" Tiffany leaned forward, clasping her hands on the desk.
"Um... I like it, so far..." She fidgeted nervously, looking at Tiffany for a second before looking down at her hands.
"Relax, Yuri." Tiffany smiled, noticing the nervous behavior. "You didn't do anything wrong."
"Oh. Whew." She exhaled.
"I heard you've been helping out over at the new shop."
She nodded.
"How was it?"
"They're just overwhelmed because they're new and quite shorthanded. It's going great there, Unnie. There were so many people queuing up after lunch and before dinner." She smiled. "At this rate, you'd need to expand or open another store soon."
"Now now, it's only been a couple of weeks. The hype will die down soon and then we'll see." Tiffany paused. "How do you feel about working there full time instead of here? I'm still looking for someone who can manage it. I know Seohyun's doing great managing both for now but I can't possibly keep overloading her so I thought you could take up the position."
Yuri's eyes widened. "M-me?" She pointed at herself .
"Yes. You. The job description will be more or less the same as Seohyun's although yours is smaller in scope of course. There's less variety of products too so it's a lot easier in that respect. You'll be named manager and of course, your pay will reflect your new title and responsibility." elaborated Tiffany.
