The next day, I catch up to Evie who is talking to her boss, Ekeziel Warner. They were talking about business which I wish that I could understand but I don't think I can as my main goal gets me so busy that I don't get enough sleep for an ET which is 14 hours, I am getting nearly 3  hours.

"What's  up?"  Evangeline said, in a buttery soft voice. "When did you come here?" I said, startled by her voice. "A long ago, sweetheart~" She cooed. Sweet mother of Titania, Why was she like this? I felt my heart beat faster and the heat in my face. Wait, was I blushing? I mean, according to humans, that was the definition of blushing. What was up with my feelings? Have they also gone for a toss like my mental ability to think went?  Mhm, I was going insane after a girl. The effect she had on me. Ugh, that feeling in my chest.

"What's up?" Her voice interrupted my thoughts. "Uh, nothing," I said, my voice was shaky. "I was just talking to Evie." My smile was not convincing enough to her. I was not supposed to fall for her. I was supposed to plot her downfall.  But no, Titania had other plans for me. "Just talking to Evie? I know you, Laura. So tell me, what's cooking in your big brain?" She smiled, not the usual one, the smug one. "Evan, it's nothing." I sighed. "Fine, I accept it as nothing but I know your colours so I am letting it go." She smiled and left.

"What was that?" Evie asked. "I am falling in love and it's not good." I blurted out, much to her surprise. "Falling in love isn't bad, Laura." Evie huffed. "It is bad when you suddenly do it, especially when you do it with your enemy" I explained my case and she facepalmed. "Enemies to lovers is a common thing between the folks of today," Evie smirked. "I know but you know I am not a part of the common folk." I continued. She facepalmed, muttering something under her breath. I was red, as red as ruby.  I just left the area.

I returned to gathering evidence against Evangeline but I just couldn't. I stared blankly at my computer. My mind played me like a doll. My incidents with her were repeated on a loop.   I just couldn't do anything. My body froze and I was sitting still. I couldn't even shiver and open my mouth.  I just could-

"Hello, Laura." Ekeziel greeted me. "Yes, Ekeziel?" I raised an eyebrow. What did he want? I wanted to be dead now.  I hoped he would never find out my motives. "Would you do me a favour?" He asked. "Yes, I would but I won't accept anything inappropriate from you," I warned him.  He nodded and spoke in French. " Evangeline est corrompue, s'il vous plaît, faites quelque chose contre elle, sinon nous sommes condamnés." He said. I understood it but I could not act it. My body was frozen solid. "I am sorry Ekeziel, but I don't think I can do anything now." I rubbed my neck. "I was working on it but my mind got diverted." I sighed. "You should be distracted from your goal then," Ekeziel said before leaving me alone.

How could I manage to work against her when I have fallen for her? It was so sudden that I couldn't even think twice. Maybe I was what you humans called- a lesbian. I have been attracted to women so far but none have said that they loved me ( I don't know about Evan but I am pretty sure that she doesn't like me.)
