Sweet Temptation (A Hazbin Hotel Fanfic)

Chapter 1 - Genesis

It's been a while since Charlie's fight with the exorcist army to keep the hotel and her friends safe. Many have died in that battle... friends, enemies. The most impactful death for the exorcists and all of heaven was Adam's. The most beloved (surprisingly) being in all of Heaven.

Unbeknownst to them, Adam wasn't really dead. Well... he was. But he wasn't dead-dead. His soul remanifested in hell, now being one of the sinners he hated oh so much.

The situation he found himself in was uncomfortable, to say the least. It wasn't ideal, but it was better than being gone forever.

The first few weeks were difficult, but he was slowly getting more comfortable with his new form and this new place he had to live in.

He was lucky he manifested in an abandoned area of Pentagram City because no one could see him. But unfortunately, that also meant he couldn't find anything to eat. Starvation wouldn't kill him, but it would surely hurt as fuck. He was so used to having everything handed to him on a silver platter (literally), so finding the motivation to actually look for something to eat took a while.

From time to time, he would go to the main parts of Pentagram City to steal some food, new clothes (because he never had enough), and even small useless things that he took just because they were pretty.

Meanwhile, at the Hazbin Hotel, things were going as well as anyone would expect. Charlie was doing her best to convince sinners to come to the hotel, but after the fight with heaven, no one wanted to risk their afterlife for redemption especially because they didn't even know if it's possible.

Some days, Charlie would look out the window and sigh. Even tho most of the people involved in the battle were fine, she still felt bad for those who (she thinks) died. She even felt bad for Adam. Deep down, she felt like she could've talked things out with him.

Today was one of those days. A day where she would look out the window and remember the battle and the sacrifices that were made.

"Is everything alright, hun?" Vaggie asked her.

"Ah! Y-Yeah.. yeah, I'm alright. I was just... thinking..." she sighed. "No one deserved to die in that battle..."

"Even Adam?-"

"Yes!" She interrupted Vaggie. "Even he didn't deserve to die... Maybe, just maybe... he had a reason to be the way that he was..."

"Charlie..."

"Maybe all he needed was someone to talk to..."

"Charlie, Adam was awful. You know that, right?"

"Talking things out would've still been better... no one would have died... maybe he would have even convinced heaven that we could work together towards redemption..."

"I know you want to see the good in everyone, but you need to realize that some people are just awful."

"Maybe you're right... but we'll never know..."

Vaggie hugged her tightly and kissed her on the cheek.

"Come on. Didn't you say you wanted to try a new activity to redeem Angel Dust?"

"Oh! Right! I almost forgot! Let's go"

They both walked downstairs to the main lobby. Just then, Angel was about to leave.

"Wait, Angel!" Charlie called out him him. "Where are you going? We were supposed to -"

"I know, I know." he replied. "I'm sorry.. Val called and... y'know..."

"Oh... it's fine. We can do the activity some other time, no worries. We'll see you after you're done with work."

"Thanks for understanding, Charlie."

And so Angel left the hotel and went to the porn studio where he works for Valentino, the most hatable bald bitch to ever exist.
When he got there, he saw Val talking with someone. Curiosity got the better of him, so he hid somewhere nearby. If his boss was planning to trick another sinner down on their luck, then maybe he could prevent it so they don't end up like him.

He got a better look at the demon Val was talking to. "What the..." Angel thought to himself. That demon looked oddly familiar. "I need to tell Charlie..."
