NEVER MET ☆ was an attempt at a Homestuck reader insert fanfiction, conceived at the height of my "I'm different for liking Homestuck and I'm going to start the homestuck fanfiction on Wattpad renaissance" phase, and also the rainy winter of January 2022 (?).

Nothing was ever written for it aside from a credits/information chapter.

The summer of 2008 was upon you, the perfect time to get together with friends and hang out.

Unfortunately for you, you had no friends. Only a messy room, a Wii, and a white DS Lite.

So, you booted up your DS Lite and sobbed your friendless misery out on Pictochat like any normal person would do.

[ NEVER MET was set in a Modern-ish Homestuck AU, where the Alpha Kids all lived in the same apartment complex (appropriately titled S(u)burbian). It would have followed the Reader, you, communicating with the Alpha Kids over Pictochat. ]

A young adult lays in their bedroom. 
It just so happens that today, the 21 of June, 2007, is the first day of summer.

: PLOT

MC, utterly bored and rotting in their room, decides to mess around on Pictochat after exhausting all other options. Can't go wrong with aimlessly typing the lyrics to Umbrella by Rihanna! Until someone else joins the chatroom and starts typing the lyrics with you. Oh god social interaction.

[ Can you tell this was written by someone who would near constantly mention they have no idea how to talk to people? I also tried to properly lay into the early 2000s aesthetic, but I was born during that time and as such had no real rose colored glasses memories of it.]
