that's what you always heard as a kid , the insults from your mother since she was raised in an okay household , but wanted her children to bet better than how she was raised before she met your father ,
and you dealt with it …….

for as long as you could ……

and you even tried harder , but nothing ever worked out ……

no matter how hard you worked to get their attention and their praise …

nothing you did made them happy.
then one day you finally decided that you've had enough of their insults to your hard work and ran away from home , but you didn't know where to go.
i mean there was always grandpa zeno’s home but that was too far away from where you currently were , but at least you got out of there right?

right.

so to choose which way to go you spun in a circle and stopped when you were facing in between your right side and directly behind you.

after choosing which direction to go you started on your adventure , an adventure to be able to find a new home or place to be accepted , other than grandpa zeno’s.

after a long one to two day walk you eventually found yourself in a rundown city or place since it didn't really look like a city , so you started to walk around aimlessly not knowing what to do for the time being.

as you walked around finding either somewhere to stay or somewhere to go you bumped into a woman with short blonde hair , kinda looked like a buzz-cut that was currently growing out.

“oh!” she exclaimed before asking , “what's a kid doing here? well , where did you come from?” she corrected as there were many kids around in the rundown city , herself included.

“uhm. i ran away from home and ended up here , but I don't know what to do now.” you explained to the older girl.

yes , yes stranger danger but that was an absurd concept at this point. as you didn't know where you were and you also didn't know anybody here.

“oh , really.” she started , and lowered down to your level of height , as she was thinking of what to say to a seven year old child , “well you can come with me to go see a friend , me and him we're meeting up right about now. after that we can decide what to do. yeah?” she finished with a kindred smile.

‘nee-san’ you thought while looking at the female.

“y-yeah. we can do that.” you responded to her with a slight stutter.

“good,” she stated as she rose back up from her squat , “now hold my hand so you don't get lost , this city can be pretty hard to navigate through.” she continued while breathing out her hand for me to hold.

“m’kay.” you hummed as you grabbed her hand , and you two started on your way.
