Book 1: Adopted by Derpal Fanfic (Completed) (POSSIBLE REWRITE)

A sigh escaped the lips of 16 year old, Cage Maddox. It was another day in this hell hole, better known as Cedr Hills Adoption Center. Cage had been stuck here since he was 4. He didn't ask for the life he had.

His bio parents, Olivia and Jasper Maddox, were real bad on any drug you could think of. They resorted to the life taking addiction due to their trouble some childhood. Unfortunately, due to the addiction, CPS took Cage away on the night of April 13th. That day haunts Cage to this day. It eats at him.

A knock at the door took the boy out of his thoughts. The door opened revealing a worker named Jacob Fox. "Cage it's time for dinner," Mr. Fox told him before shutting the door. As Cage grabbed his phone and earbuds, he almost tripped over something. He picked it up. It was a photo of him and his parents from a few months prior of him being taken away.

He threw it on his bed before running to dinner. It was their fault he was in this shit hole. As he made it to the dinning hall, he noticed his 2 buddies. Their names were Quinn Madison and Nash Millers. Quinn had arrived around the same time Cage did.
Nash had arrived around a year later.

"Cage!" Quinn said while waving their arm over to the boy. Cage sat at the table with the 2. "Man I hope we have something good for dinner," Nash mumbled before his stomach grumbled causing the 3 to laugh. Quinn and Nash we're basically the only family Cage ever had in his life.

Trays of food began to be carted out. A certain smell entered Cage's nose. The smell brought him back to that night. His heart began to beat faster. His breath began to be hard to catch. Cage quickly stood up before booking it to the quickest restroom. As his vision began to blur, he couldn't help, but hear Quinn and Nash call after him.

As soon as Cage made it into a stall, he began to break down. His head fell into his hands as tears flowed down his checks. Anything that reminded him of that night drove him into a panic. He hated them for what they did. All he wanted was to have a loving family.

After a few minutes of crying, Cage had finally calmed down enough to get out of the stall. He walked over to the sink and turned it on a warmish setting. As he waited for it to warm up, his eyes wondered up to the mirror. He was met with his darkish green eyes staring back at him.

They were red from his episode. His dark brown hair was a bit messed up. The lose fit graphic tee that he wore was slightly wet from his tears. Cage shook his head before splashing the water on his face before zip up his black jacket and making his way to the dinning hall.

Cage sat back downbwith Quinn and Nash causing the 2 to look at him with worry. "You alright man?" Quinn asked with a concerned look on their face. Cage looked up from his plate, "Yeah I'm fine". He took a few noodles into his mouth as the other 2 continued eating. The 3 ate in silence.

An hour had passed meaning it was now time for the children to get ready for bed. Cage was brushing his teeth while Quinn was washing his hair. Tomorrow was adoption day. Regardless if the pair thought they had no chance of getting adopted, they both still had to look their best.

"Cage, do you think you'll be adopted tomorrow? Quinn said looking at the male. Cage spit out the access toothpaste in his mouth, "I don't think I'll ever be adopted Quinn". A frown painted their face, "Why's that?". He washed his mouth out with water before sliding on a black tank top.

"Why would anyone want to adopt someone like me?" he said emotionless as he laid down on his bed. Quinn stayed silent as they laid down on their bed, "Someone will Cage, you just gotta believe". The pair fell asleep dreading of what could happen tomorrow.
