All I've Ever Wanted

Chapter One

Victoria woke up with anticipation finally having graduated university and finding a job starting her adult life. She had been job hunting for weeks now and nothing, she was hoping that this interview would go well and get her the job.

She woke up a 7 am sharp and started getting ready while in the shower she was scouring her brain thinking of all the questions she could be asked and how to answer them professionally after a quick shower she touched up her freshly straightened hair from last night to save time in the morning. Then she did some light makeup and went to her closet taking her time picking other an outfit

After about 15 minutes she decided on a monochromatic look using a loose long sleeve black blouse that showed a little cleavage and a black pencil skirt that stopped right over her knees. She then paired it with some black red bottom pumps that her mom had gifted her as a graduation gift. She only ever wore them for very important events but she decided to make an exception first today

She went to her kitchen to make herself an iced coffee and scarfed down a toast with avocado and tomato. She rushed out of her apartment to go the the nearest subway station to catch a train

After a short walk after her train ride she got to the office building. It was like most New York skyscrapers tall and covered in glass windows with large words reading Oliveira Corps. She walks in through the large glass making her way to the large marble front desk where a long haired brunette woman greeted her. " Good morning I'm here for a job interview at 9 am, do you know where I have to go? " Victorious asked, " Oh yes your Victoria right? Just follow me " the woman guided Victoria to an elevator and then to a pair of massive wood doors. The brunette spoke grabbing her attention from the doors " just so you know usually we would have one of our senior executives doing interviews but the CEO insisted that he would do the interviews today, I don't know why but I just wanted to give you a heads up ". Victoria was now ten time more nervous then she was before.

The woman knocked on the door three times and slowly opened the door informing him that he had an interview to conduct. Once she got a nod of approval from the woman to walk into the office she slowly stepped in feeling like a tiny mouse compared to the giant room. A desk far back in the middle of the room caught her eye. The office chair was faced back looking over the New York skyline. She made her way to the desk slowly and when the chair turned around and she locked eye with probably the most beautiful man she's ever seen in her life. He had short almost black hair and piercing hazel eyes the perfect mix of an emerald green and a honey brown. Her eyes made their way down to his jawline that could probably cut stones. Few tattoos peeking out of his suit on his neck and his hands had caught her eye.

He ended the call he was on and looked at her for a split second " So you're Victoria Barbosa, correct " she was pretty much wet through her skirt when she heard his deep, seductive voice. " Yes, I applied for a credit analyst position " she replied while sitting on one of the two chairs in front of his desk. " Right, so lets start" he spoke, she sat waiting nervously for the questions. " How did you find out about this company?" he asked "I knew about your company through my parent both have bank account here and my father also works in finance " she answered smartly. " What university did you attend?" she was so obsessed with how his voice sounded and the way he spoke. " I went to NYU and got a bachelor's degree in finance" she answered. " Why do you want to be a credit analyst?", " I've always liked math and been good with numbers and statistics so I felt like I would like this position and stay here long term". Matteo stoped for moment to think and then asked another question, "what are your strengths and weaknesses?", she stopped to think for a couple seconds and gave a response "Personally I think my strengths are being able to work under pressure and I'm resourceful. When it comes to my weaknesses, I'm very hard on myself, everything has to be perfect and if not I get very critical towards myself". " So you're a perfectionist, for a lack of better words" he added teasing her, "Yes, you read my mind" she added with a smile

"Well I will end it at that, it was a pleasure to meet you, you should get a response back from us in one maybe 2 weeks" Victoria was surprised and quite frankly worried I mean the interview had lasted a decent amount of time but she expected to be in his office for about an hour. Now she was overthinking, was it something she said? Or maybe did she seem nervous, was she unprofessional, all these thoughts flooded her feel humiliated. " Yes, it was nice to get to meet you too, and thank you, really" she said almost feeling bad for wasting his time. " Absolutely, like I said you should get an email soon, have a nice day" he insisted. She said her final goodbye and quickly scattered out of the room nervously rethinking everything she had just said or what could have gone wrong?

So that was my first chapter I'm not super sure on it and by all means if anything is wrong I'm open to helpful criticism since it is my first time writing and take care my loves♡︎
