I awoke with a bone-crushing headache. My entire body hurts, and my wings are bent in an awkward position. I've never felt so ruined in my life. I attempt to get up but the weight of my wings holds me down. The gravel begins to dig into the skin of my face and palms the more I struggle. Soon the unmistakable cold droplets of water known as rain begin to pour. Curling up within my wings to keep dry I take my shaking tail into my hands. The hard water droplets sting as they pelt my skin, hair, and clothes.
I hear water puddles splash as feet run through them. And deep-throaty laughs. The slashing and laughing grow closer until they're just around the corner. I struggle to sit up and hide myself within the clutches of darkness. "You're too slow, Hon! Try to keep up with me now!" The deep rumble of an angelic voice chimes as they round the corner. The person falters in their step when they pass the wall.
The person starts to walk deeper into the tight alleyway that I'm hiding in when a broken, raspy growl slips from my mouth and my wings slump. As the person comes closer I notice that the person is a male and his face is contorted into a look of concern and worry. I groan and slump to my side when the pain begins to be unbearable. I wince and squeeze my eyes closed when he takes one of my smaller wings into his hands. The sound of more splish splashing makes my headache heave and shudder. The rain is still pouring buckets of hard pebbles of water when I blink for the last time that night.☆☆☆☆
