ZEKE POV

I couldn't do it.

My dick wouldn't let me. The stupid thing softened every time I tried.

It was humiliating, weird, and only got worse when Amelia compared my emotional limp dick to the time her ex-situationship drank too much at prom and left her with a "noodle" to work with.

She might as well have shot me.

Especially when the next thing to come out of her mouth was a nosey question.

"Oh, is this because of Julia?"

She said it like the existence of my feelings had just occurred to her, randomly. Her ass was still in my face, waiting for me to get my shit together, but I just couldn't.

Not when Julia was on my mind. I glanced at my hand and the bandage that she had so carefully placed over the cut.

I was bleeding on her carpet less than an hour before Amelia found me sitting in the garden, definitely not almost crying.

I hadn't cried in years, and for some reason, that was something I was supposed to be proud of.

"No," I lied, "I'm just out of juice."

She raised an eyebrow, "You fucked someone else already?"

I regretted telling her that Julia and I had fought at all. Because soon after, she was pawing at me with her manicured claws.

I shook my head, "No, I just," I cleared my throat, "I had some time."

"Time?"

"Yeah, to take care of things."

She stared at me, then the part of my pants that should have been tight, and straining, from a prominent hard-on. "Ooooh," she said finally, nodding. "I get it."

Thank god.

"Well, I can wait for a few hours."

Oh god no.

"I can't," I said quickly, spitting out the words before I had a chance to second-guess myself. "I mean," I stammered, "I can't tonight."

"Tomorrow morning then? I walk past your dorm on my way to Spanish."

Weird.

"Uh," the last thing I needed was Jared asking questions about my status in the games, "I'll text you."

Her face fell. "You'll actually text me? Or are you just blowing me off?"

Fuck.

My shoulders fell, and that was enough for her to fix her skirt and hurry to her feet. "You could have just said no."

Could I?

"Amelia," I said, forcing myself to respond before I thought through what I should say.

Luckily, she cut me off. "Forget it, Zeke. I can't say that I wasn't warned."

"You were warned?"

"Duh. You've been chasing the new girl and ignoring everyone else. What does she have, a vacuum pussy?"

I frowned. "No."

"So what is it then?"

I stepped forward, feeling protective over something that was never mine. "This has nothing to do with her."

"Great," she smiled. "I'll see you in the morning."

I opened my mouth to argue, but she had already grabbed her purse and trotted down the stone path.

JULIA POV

I headed straight toward Katie's next class, knowing that she was a faithful student and would never miss the chance to ask her Apologetics teacher about sex and hell.

That pot-stirrer.

Just as I rounded the corner, and flipped off two idiots making jacking off motions when I walked by, I saw Katie.

There she is.

I grabbed her arm before she could disappear into the classroom, and spun her away from the door, cornering her against the wall in the process.

"Jesus, you scared the shit out of me." She clutched her chest.

So dramatic.

I rolled my eyes. "How many more points do I need."

Her eyebrows pinched together. "What?"

"Who do I have to fuck to win?" I asked, venom dripping off my tongue.

The hallway had almost cleared out as the rest of the students weren't planning a hostile takeover.

She stared at me as if processing if I was serious, then said, "A lot of people."

Perfect.

If Zeke could move on, I could too. "Has he submitted the photos yet?" I asked.

Katie shook her head, knowing who I meant without clarification, "They won't be approved for another twenty-four hours."

Good.

"Call Dorian."

She raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure?"

Asking Dorian to help meant fucking every member or visitor of the host club, something that I had turned down in the past because of my outstanding moral fiber.

And my unwillingness to hurt Zeke any more than I already had just by competing.

I nodded, "Set up whatever you can before Zeke tells everyone my identity."

"He could have already told Jared an-"

"It doesn't matter," I shut my eyes, annoyed by the tugging on my heart, "They won't say anything publicly until Zeke is through the second round. It'd be too embarrassing to admit that they fucked up."

Katie smiled, "You're right. Jared would do anything to protect their image."

"If we're going to do this, we have to be fast." I glanced around us, making sure that we were still alone, "I can't let him win."

Her smile faded, "About what I said last night, I was just upset, you know? I was harsh because well, it's still a touchy subject, but that's really not an excuse and I'm just sorry."

I shook off the apology, "Don't be. You were right."

She opened her mouth as if she was going to say something, to comfort me, like "I'm sure Zeke actually cried like a baby before tripping and falling into that coed in the sex garden" but there was no point.

We both knew it would be a lie.

Zeke only ever wanted one thing from me, and it wasn't a relationship.

"I'm really sorry," Katie said finally, clinging to her textbooks.

I wanted to throw up, but I shrugged instead, "Just talk to Dorian for me, okay? It doesn't have to be girls or pegging."

She frowned, "But you said-"

"I changed my mind."

Katie sighed, "I'll see what I can do."
