It's been three weeks since Cassie's birthday, Louis Harry and Cassie have slowly fallen into a very domestic rhythm, Harry spending many nights with the trio, falling asleep next to Louis every night. Louis and Harry would have a few moments alone in the morning before Harry would head out to work, Louis and Cassie meeting him a while later for their morning breakfast stop before dropping Cassie off at daycare.
She had recently started going due to Zayn having a signed on at a new graphic design agency that required more hours. It was going well, Harry would pick her up and take her back to Louis's for the evening and they would make dinner for when Louis returned home.
Louis in the past few weeks has been working closely with Niall in preparing him for his album release. Liam working heavily on promoting the album, while Louis and Niall working on fine tuning his sound.
Tonight they are having an album release celebration for Niall as his album goes on sale at midnight. Louis was mostly excited to have the 4 lads over, needing a few drinks and good quality friend time. They haven't all hung out since Cassie's birthday, all have been too busy with work and home life.
"Dadee! When 'Azzie come?" Cassie asks coming into the living room where Louis was tiding up. Cassie has only called Harry Papa a few times since her birthday, it's usually when she is half asleep and mumbling out the words. Both Louis and Harry have agreed to not mention it to her and just let it play out, knowing that the young girl is working through it.
"He'll be here soon baby. He's writing his last final for school and then we will come over." Louis says smiling down at his daughter. A small pout forms on Cassie's face, she has been missing Harry the past two days as they haven't seen him other than their morning trips to the café as he has been staying home to study rather than coming over like he normally would.
"Dadee? Why he no live hewe wif us?" Cassie pouts. Louis picks her up and sits down on the couch with her on his lap. "Because baby, Harry has his own home with Niall." Louis explains gently to his four year old.
"Me mad at Nyo then!" Cassie huffs, crossing her arms in protest. Louis fights off a laugh at his daughters dramatics, he wants nothing more than to laugh but he knows he needs to be the mature adult in this moment and correct his daughters behavior. "Baby girl that's not nice, you know Harry was friends with Niall first. We have to share Harry okay?" Louis says.
"Fiiiiine. I sowwy." Cassie pouts giving her dad her best puppy dog eyes. Louis chuckles softly and pulls her into a tight hug. "Thank you baby girl. Now come on help me decorate the house. We have to make it pretty for Niall's party remember?" Louis says sliding her off his lap and onto the floor.
"Is it Nyo's biwthday?" Cassie asks in excitement. "No love, he is going to be releasing an album so we are having celebration for him to congratulate him." Louis chuckles.
"Oooohh yeah! I make pwetty cawd for Nyo Dadee? Pweaaase?!" Cassie begs rocking back and forth on her heels in excitement. She looks almost like an excited puppy waiting for a treat.
"That is very nice of you baby. You go make the card nicely in your room while Daddy cleans okay? By the time we are done Harry should be here" Louis says.
"Otay Dadeee!"Cassie cheers before she runs up to her room to colour while Louis starts cleaning and decorating the house.
Louis gets lost in cleaning making sure everything is good. His music playing softly in the background to keep him motivated. The sounds of Fleetwood Mac fluttering through the main floor.
He moves onto decorating, keeping it simple, hanging up a string of gold lettered balloons spelling out 'Congrats'. He places a Vinyl copy of Niall album he took from work and placed it in the centre of the folding table he has placed against the wall under the balloons. A white table cloth cover the table. Blue plastic cups and plates on one side with snacks littered across the other side of the table.
