Sorry again for the late update, I've been crazy busy these last days of school!! Enjoy!! 🫶

The next day, I wake Draco up early in the morning to get dressed.

I dress in my usual fancy Muggle clothes, apply some makeup on my under eyes to hide my horrible bags -a tell-tale sign that I didn't sleep last night- and head downstairs to the lobby where Draco is already waiting.

The Weasleys are a flurry of motion around us, yelling at each other and trying to make sure they have everything.

I slip past them quietly, thankfully going unnoticed.

We dash out through the rain to the car the Ministry sent for us. Draco turns rather sour when he realizes the Ministry also sent a car for Harry Potter and the Weasleys.

"I mean really, why do THEY get a car too? They're nowhere NEAR the same social class as us and it makes it look like they're in same level as us." Draco complains for the whole ride to Kings Cross, and as we walk to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, and after we go through the barrier onto the platform, where he then thankfully spots his friends Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle and runs off to join them.

I look around for any of my friends and spot Melissa Bletchely with her parents and her brother, Miles.

Mel spots me and waves me over.

I drift over and nod politely to her parents. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Bletchley." I greet them.

They both nod respectfully to me.

"Hello, Cassiopeia. I see you're a prefect now." Mrs. Bletchley says, gesturing to the prefect badge pinned on my shirt. She looks at Melissa and Miles disapprovingly from the corner of her eye. "I'd hoped at least one of my children would receive a badge, but unfortunately not."

Melissa suppresses an eye roll. "You've only told us this twenty times already, Mother." She says tightly.

Mrs. Bletchley sighs heavily and shares a look with her husband.

"We'd better board the train. Bye Mother, Father." Melissa says quickly, grabbing my arm and pulling me away.

Miles follows us but as soon as we board the train he vanishes without a word. He and Meli aren't very close, but really it's their parents fault. They've pinned them against each other since they were kids.

"Come on, let's head to the Slytherin compartment so I can tell you ALL about my trip, and I want to hear about Graham's trip to Russia. I haven't been yet but it sounds exciting! I HATE it when someone says 'I'll tell you in person.' It's incredibly annoying." Meli says.

"To be fair, you told me that exact thing. Plus, the reunion will have to wait. Cassius and I have to go to the prefects meeting."

Melissa groans. "I forgot you two are like OFFICIALLY teachers pets now. You'll be all formal and bossy and boring. Well, more so than usual."

I swat her lightly. "I am not boring!" I say defensively.

She raises an eyebrow at me. "Really? When was the last time you went to a party?"

I scour my brain. "Well...there was that one study group I went to last year-"

"That doesn't count! You sat around and did homework and read books! There was no music, no booze!"

"Okay fine, then I guess... never." I admit. "But I've been really busy studying!" I quickly defend myself.

Melissa raises an eyebrow at me and I blink. "Bloody hell... I am boring, aren't I?" I admit.
