The road....should not be taken !

Shenwei was finding this beautiful night very peaceful. He was feeling the cool breeze by closing his eyes and rubbing his arms. "I thought you wouldn't come." Wei opens his eyes when he heard Yunlan's voice. He looks back at him.....and Zhao smiles toward Shen as he comes and stands beside.

"Do you know? I have been trying to talk to you alone ever since I came here. But I was not getting the chance." Shenwei only blink his eyelids and Yunlan continue "Actually, before engagement I wanted to tell you that....I was in love with someone. That person used to study with me and our relationship was also a bit serious."

Shenwei expressions were still blank. "Dad came to know about this and he scolded me a lot. But he did not tell mom anything about this. Because dad didn't want to hurt mom." Wei again blink his eyelids and lowered his eyes "After this, dad told me about the family custom and then fixed the engagement with you.....or should I say, got engaged!"

Yunlan was looking at Shenwei, trying to guess what he might be thinking. When Yunlan did not get any response.....he thinks to apologize. "Shenwei please forgive me! Firstly, I did not tell you about my past and I quietly called you here on the terrace in such cold weather. I am sor......."

"I WANTED TO COME!"

Yunlan interrupt by Wei's melodious voice. Shen spoke but his eyes were still down. Yunlan arched his eyebrows "Uncle had already told me about you. And to be honest, after knowing all this I did not feel bad.....(looking at Yunlan) If there was someone in your life, it does not mean that you have been a cheater. This means, you were learning to handle and value every relationship!"

Yunlan is surprised to hear Shenwei's words. He had not expected that Wei would describe his affairs so beautifully. "Don't you have any complaint against me?" Zhao asks but Shen didn't say anything and sat on the floor.....against the terrace railing. Yunlan frowns and sits beside him.

"you did not answer..." Yunlan ask again and Wei looked at him "Once a farmer of our village had bought seeds at a cheap price. But his crop was not as good as the farmer had thought. When the family members came to know about this, they all scolded him. But his friend advised him.

It is better to focus on the future rather than thinking about the past. If a mistake teaches you your lesson....it will help you move forward in future!" This small incident narrated by Wei made Yunlan understand what Shen wanted to say. "can I kiss you?" Yunlan asks looking into Wei's deep almond eyes.

"It is very late. Everyone will be waiting for us." Shenwei said ignoring Yunlan's request. He stood up and starts walking towards the stairs. "I have to go back tomorrow morning!" Yunlan tried once again with hope and this time Wei turned towards him and came closer.

"We both belong to the same family but our parents' thinking is different from each other. Where your family has given you freedom for everything, my family has kept us bound by rules and regulations. I am not saying that your family's thinking is wrong or that my family's thinking is wrong. I just don't want my father's honor to be harmed because of freedom!"

Don't know what magic was there in Wei's words....which was dragging Yunlan closer to him every moment. Shenwei's every word made Yunlan feel that.....he is the best life partner for him. "Okay! But promise me.....after marriage you will follow your rules and regulations with freedom!" Yunlan said and a soft smile appears on Wei's beautiful face.

Next day....

The next morning, after having breakfast, Lin and Yunlan start putting luggage in the car. Lin was very excited because Yezun was going along. Lin comes to twin's room to help Yezun "waits a sec..." Yezun said and locks his bag then gives it to Lin. "thank you!" Yezun thank him for his help and about to go......Lin holds his hand and pull him in his arms.

Yezun shivers in Lin's arms when he touches Yezun's waist. "Let me go!" Yezun try to free himself "in one condition." Lin said and Yezun looked at Lin with his intense gaze. "No need to stare. Just don't call me ge at the home!" Lin said and slowly leaves Yezun.

"So what should I call you?"

"You will never have to call me. I truly love you and I will be at your service day and night!" Lin said his words and silently went out of the room. Although, Yezun is not one of those boys who easily gets influenced by anyone's words. But Lin's dedication towards Yezun had touched his heart.

"Papa? Your medicine!" Shenwei step inside Ming's room having glass of water and his father's medicine. "Oh! Wei Please comes. I have to talk to you something." Ming pat on the bed beside him while gesturing Wei. "I will listen to everything you say but first you take your medicine!" Wei said and his father happily took the medicine.

"Yezun has made preparations? Otherwise he will say that he has not prepared....so he will not go. He will see next time." Ming said and Shenwei laugh "don't worry papa. I packed his stuff with my own hands so he can't make any excuses this time!" Shenwei assures his father and Ming lovingly cares Wei's cheek.

"You always do what I want you to do or what I tell you to do. But you never complaint. Can I know the special reason behind this behavior of yours?" Wei is a little angrier than Yezun. But the heart that God has given him is very sensitive. If someone has any problem then Wei first becomes dejected. He feels very bad. Because of his this behavior......Ming never talks to him in anger.

"There is no reason behind it! I do any work selflessly and you know this very well." Wei said and Ming smiles "Someone wants to give you everything in the same way without any greed and at the same time expects many things from you." Shenwei looked at his father's eyes.....and as their eyes met to each other Wei immediately avert his sight to other side.

"I know that you respect the values given by me very much and because of this you are different from others. But I also want you to give as much importance to the changes taking place in your future life as you give to me!" Ming said and stood up on the bed. He goes toward the room door.....and turns back before going out.

"Your mother told me this. She wanted to tell all these things to both of you. But fate had something else in store!" After saying this, Ming walks out of the room and Shenwei just looks at his engagement ring.
