The Pups

i screamed as my water broke.

nick rushed to me, calling out for help.

immediately Harry came in with his medical bag.

'this is not good,' he said,' we need to get them out before........'.

nick went pale. 'before what?' nick whispered.

'before they destroy her from the inside out' he answered.

but then i felt the first pup pushing through.

'ahhhhhhh' i screamed.

'push grace.' harry commanded.

i moaned in agony.

'come on babe, you can do it' nick encouraged me.

i pushed as hard as i could.

'one down, eight to go grace' nick encouraged.

Sam came in with harry's nurse, to look after the first pups while i delivered the rest.

i felt another one come through.

'keep pushing grace' my mate said.

so i pushed. i pushed and pushed until i had no energy left, until they were all delivered.

i lay there until harry told me,' you have to shift grace so that you can nurse them'.

i shifted back to my wolf, whos coat was brighter than ever. nick brought them close to me so i could nurse them, and he helped them along until every one was suckling happily.

'so would you like to know gender and order' harry asked.

i nodded my large hhad and listened as he spoke.

' first was a male, second was a female, third was a girl, fourth was a boy, fifth was a boy, sixth was a girl, seventh was a boy, eighth was a girl and ninth was a boy.' he listed.

four girls and five boys. i was so proud.

i looked over to nick to get him to list the names i had chosen.

he nodded and read out,' the first male will be Tristen, the second male will be James, the third boy will be Jacob, the fourth boy will be Jack and the fifth boy will be Sam. The first girl will be Scarlett, the second girl will be Skylar, the third girl will be Cynder, and the fourth girl will be Jess.'

i smiled my wolf smile in happiness, as my life was absolutely perfect.

the next morning i woke up to my pups surrounding me. but they were much larger than yesterday. what was wrong with them?

i quickly barked, trying to catch my mates attention. he came running, and he nodded at me.

'we know sweetie. they are maturing much faster then anyone would have thought. The doc thinks they should be fully grown in a year at the pace they are going.'

they were going to grow up so fast?

i whimpered at that thought.

nick noticed my distress. 'i know babe, i know. they would have grown up eventually. there isn't much we can do. we will just have to wait and see what will happen. why don't you take a nap, i take care of our little ones.'

i nodded at him and drifted off to sleep.
