-Her mother died of liver cancer when she was 12, shortly after bringing her to Camp Halfblood because she knew she was dying and it was the only place her daughter would be safe. 
-She was claimed by her father during her second year at Camp, when she was 13.
-She is a good fighter and tends to get into fights with the Ares kids, especially Clarisse.
-She wears a gold necklace with a small sun pendant she bought on a field trip because it reminded her of her mom.
