The day i kidnap a crank

Forgive my poor writing, it's currently 1:12am. Who else is reading fanfics when they should maybe be sleeping? hehe  -Wren

"Newt?" I called out, my voice echoing off the walls. Carefully, I pulled out a small flashlight.The light found the Crank and when it turned I saw him. The black blood-like substance dripping out of the mouth, black veins across the body. A knife in his gut. He jumped out of the light, pupils dilating, and he lunged for my throat. I sidestepped behind him and jumped into the vent. Cautiously I watched him look around in confusion. The muttering resumed. "Stupid...brain....lies...recognized...gally?....no..." I carefully grabbed the gun I made. Adapted to fit my serum that'll knock out a Crank for 6 weeks, minimum. I double checked, loaded. 2 left. Carefully I dropped out of the vent, and Newt's Crank arms wrapped around my torso from behind. I brought my head back to daze him, spinning on my heel. I took the shot. Right into his arm. In seconds he dropped. Now how to get him out?

There was an old tan jeep further up the tunnel. After much cursing and kicking I got the thing to move again. Carefully I put Newt in the back seat and started the drive to the Safe Haven.

Newt woke up 8 weeks later. Minho hardly ever left his side and Thomas even less. We gave him the cure two weeks ago, but he still hadn't woken up. I think I got the dosage wrong, but hypothetically he would wake up soon. At first he would have these moments where he'd thrash around in his sleep and scream out as the Flare was dissolved out of him. But he hadn't moved an inch nor released any sound since two days ago.
