Taking a deep breath Jack brushes down his tux unbeknowing to Alex checking him out he turns and smiles at his companion. "How do I look?" Jack asks with his lopsided grin.
"Great" Alex says trying to contain his sigh "You have no idea how fucking great" Alex murmers under his breath.
"What was that?" Jack asks.
"oh uhm nothing; just talking to myself" Alex replies with an uneasy laugh.
Jack looks down at the Rolex watch Rian got him as a birthday present two years ago and sees the time.
"Fuck fuck fuck we have ten minutes to get to the church! Shannon's going to cut my balls off if I'm late." Jack shouts.
Jack turns around and grabs Alex's hand pulling him along behind him. Thankfully, the car is waiting outside the hotel; Jack.and Alex rush into the car slamming the door behind them. Jack shouts at the driver to hurry up.
"Chill out man, we'll get there on time." Alex assures a nervous Jack.
"Fuck. I'm going to be late for my own wedding."
Alex; becoming uneasier by the minute turns to Jack and in that moment contemplates taking him right there, but he couldn't do that; Jack deserves to be happy. Sighing deeply Alex just looks at Jack; noting ever feature into his mind, the curve of his nose, the parting if his hair, absolutely every feature.
Jack and Alex sit in silence for the next five minutes, Jack constantly fidgeting and Alex staring out the window thinking about the time Jack accidently slept naked with him when he was drunk.
"We're here." The driver turns around in his seat addressing the two men.
Jack takes a deep breath before opening the door, Alex soon follows. Shannon's mother runs over to them, hair all over the place, and scolds the boys "Where have you been?! Hurry up and get in the church."
Jack being absolitely terrified of his in law follows her into the church. Alex and Jack take their places Jack turns to Alex; giving him a half smile. Suddenly music starts and every single persons head turns; all apart from Alex who's sitting contemplating how to go about this. Jack; who should be joyful in this moment has a small frown on his face. He feels as if there's something missing in his life, there's an uneasyness settling in his mind.
Shannon reaches the end of the isle Jack, unwillingly, takes her hand, he can't back out now. He turns to give Alex a pleading look; but Alex seems more occupied with the pillar to his left.
Shannon smiles up at him, giving his hand a small squeeze. How could he think this was for him? He can get married to her, it just doesn't feel right. The priest starts to go through the usual stuff; now the tense part comes.
"Does anyone know a reason why this happy couple should not be joined in matrimony?" The priest addresses the crowd.
Its now or never Alex thinks to himself.
Alex rises from hise seat, in a loud shaking voice he shouts " I DO."
