Chapter 8

Overcome the Lament

After breakfast and time on earth with a certain angel, we finally see the Prince of Hell heading to Heaven's Embassy due to his Dove telling him to take a look in. It was a perfect time since Adam was in Heaven to eat his food and busy with that habit. And the said prince doesn't have to go to the Overlord meeting until later. He wonders who can be in Heaven's Embassy that could help or at least give him a good amount of information. He would have to find out. 

Akuma walked up the stairs of Heaven's Embassy, the only place that Hell's chaotic nature or Pride didn't touch. Like Heaven wants to make sure every demon is looked down on as bottom and they are superior to them. 

"One day...that all would change. Sinners being redeemed and Hell would no longer have Heaven's light holding us back. Things need to change," Akuma thought with a look of pure determination and knocked on the large pair of doors. 

"I am ready for this," Akuma said to himself, entering the embassy and seeing it was very much what he pictured the inside to be like the same from the outside. 

But suddenly to his surprise couldn't open the door right away, but to answer that question of what was going on, a note appeared in front of him. 

"Do apologize for this but the meeting was put on hold until tomorrow due to the meeting being called back in Heaven. See you tomorrow," Akuma read in his thoughts, being a bit surprised yet didn't see harm in that. 

Akuma could go to the Overlord's meeting that Zestial and Carmilla had invited him. He hopes everything can work out and perhaps an agreement can come but unknown to the prince and will be revealed to him again. In Hell, it's a pit of vipers and some Overlords are very big ones. 

Time Skip 

The Prince of Hell saw the same old thing before and nothing changed when one of the V Overlords - Velvette brought the head of an Angel soldier to the table. She would cause a big uproar and disrespect towards Carmila, resulting in the Swan Demoness ending the meeting and it seems no one noticed him. He didn't have a chance to talk or make an appearance but frowned and sighed sadly to see this same old thing of his people fighting for nothingness & their pride. 

"Mother?" One of Carmila's daughters tabbed the Swan Demoness's shoulder to get her attention. 

"Akuma? I am sorry things...didn't work out the way but I am afraid this meeting will be held another time," Carmila said with regret and knew how much the prince wanted to have this meeting to bring up good topics but like again, pushed aside due to one of the Vees. 

"(Sigh)...it's the same old thing. Nothing has changed," Akuma sadly said with a sigh and summoned a portal to disappeared before anyone can stop him. 

"Let him go, my old friend. Though art struggles are deeper in the soul than anyone could understand," The spider demon - Zestial advice, stopping Carmila and her daughters from going after the Prince of Hell but couldn't at this time being. 

Zestial was very much like a mentor and uncle figure to the prince, mainly in how he and Carmila would meet Lucifer a few times to meet the first Prince of Hell for the first time. Only a few know how much Akuma is hurting and longs for the desire to make his mother proud of what he's been doing in Hell. That must be hurting him greatly and sadness to build up. 

With Akuma - Earth 

We see the Prince of Hell - Akuma appearing on Earth in a forest area and a good place away from the eyes of Demons & Angels. This was one of the places he enjoyed wondering and spending time with Emily but didn't know if she was there and kind of wished to be alone for the time being. He waved his hand, causing music to play on a piano and tones to match his emotion of lament - sadness. Unknown to the Demon, his angel was here and watching him when sensing was wrong of late, hiding behind a tree and listren to this song playing.
