The Sage said that the flame warrior is chosen by a small test, but can be very stressful on the human body. This test contains wearing a heavy Armour piece that once belonged to the first Flame Warrior. When the test begins, the wearer will have either result happen: The energy will fuse with the wearer and if the body doesn't reject the fusion and bonds with the soul, then that's when the flame warrior is chosen. If the wearer's body rejects the energy fusing, then in most cases the energy tries to escape the body and back into the armor. Killing the rejected soul.

I said in response "oh shit I am not wanting to risk that, it sounds and must be horrific". The Sage tried to reassure me that the rejection wouldn't happen. I told him to prove it, and if you cannot then I'm leaving. If you can then I will do this flame warrior business. The Sage said alright, he told me to place my hand on the wall. I was hesitant at first, but as I slowly pressed my hand against the wall, something began to happen. I could feel and see an aura appearing around my body. The whole arcana began lighting up in all different colors, it became brighter and brighter. Suddenly the area went dark.

After a few moments of darkness, the area around us became normal. I was stunned and didn't have any words. Then the Sage spoke saying "Well it seems you are what we have been seeking all these years." My response to what just transpired convinced me. The Sage then asked me how much combat training I have, I responded with "I have trained all my life and have the swordsmanship, a family member taught me sometimes on my own. The Sage then said "if that's true then let's see you fight one of our trained swordsmen. If you defeat our swordsman, only then will you have achieved the next step. But if you are defeated, we will train you at the Phoenix mountain very thoroughly"

The Sage then closed his eyes and began speaking or chanting in words that somehow I could understand. While the Sage was chanting, a magic circle began forming slowly. As the circle was about to finish, the Sage suddenly collapsed to the ground. Then suddenly the ground beneath us began to shake viciously, and before I knew what happened I was now standing at the bottom of a very very large mountain, with a large entrance leading inside. The Sage was on the ground sleeping....
