There are foxes in both. Not just this, but these foxes look similar because their ear shape, and they both run away. In the movie version, you will notice that the girl and the fox fly away in the plane, which is similar to the scene in which Yeonjun rides his motorcycle with the fennec fox at his foot. Treating it as a best friend or an important treasure.
