"WHAT THE FUCK," I muttered to myself, looking at the small box that was lying at my front door. I looked around to possibly find the person who may have left it, but there was no one in sight.

I picked up the small box, closed the door behind me, and took it to my living room. As I opened the box, the first thing that caught my eye was a note that had a familiar name on it.

"From Jude,

To make up for me only being in the UK for a short amount of time, I decided to make it up to you."

I lifted the note and saw two tickets to England's first group game against Serbia. I lifted the tickets up, scanning them carefully, trying to contain my excitement. I saw some more writing on the bottom of the box.

"Also, I've already booked the flight x"

A laugh escaped my lips as I ran to my room to find my phone. I tapped my foot impatiently, waiting for Jude to answer the phone.

"Hey?!" His face popped up with a confused expression.

"Jude, what the fuck. This is way too much. I can't accept all of this," I said, giving him a grateful, upside-down smile.

"Sure you can," he grinned, covering his mouth with his hand, trying his best not to laugh at how I scrunched my face.

"But really, Jude, this must have cost you a fortune," I protested.

"You're worth it, Yvonne," he replied smoothly. His tone was light, but there was a sincerity in his eyes that made my heart skip a beat.

"You're spoiling me, you know," I said, unable to hide my smile.

"Someone has to," he teased, "especially since I'm not around to annoy you in person."

"Trust me, you're still managing that perfectly fine from afar," I shot back playfully.

"Good to know my talents are appreciated," he chuckled.

"So, are you excited?"

"Are you kidding?! this is amazing, I've always wanted to see England play live," I said.

"I figured you'd love it i knew you get to see me." he said smirking trying to wink at me but miserable failing it.

"be careful with that ego of yours" I replied rolling my eyes playfully.

Suddenly, there was a knock on my door. "Hold on a second, Jude" I said, getting up to answer it. To my surprise, it was Tara.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked, letting her in with a confused expression on my face.

"I was bored and thought I'd drop by," she said with a grin. "Just because I can."

"Well, come on in then i guess " I replied realising she had already pushed past me making herself comfortable in my living room. "Guess who just showed up?"

"Let me guess," Jude said with a laugh.

"Tara?"

"how'd you guess," I said sarcastically.

"Tell her Trent won't shut up about her, it's staring to give me a migraine" Jude said with a teasing tone rubbing his head.

Tara's eyes widened but still tried to play it cool nonetheless. "I mean it makes sense " she says whipping her hair jokingly trying not to laugh at herself.

"Anyway, Yvonne, enjoy the tickets I have to go coach is shouting for me. And Tara, I hope we all get to hang out soon."

"Thanks, Jude," I said, feeling my heart warm at the thought of even seeing him in such a short amount of time.

"Anything for you, Yvonne," he replied, his voice warm and sincere.

"cute but ew, stop with that cringy shit" i joke laughing at him.

"oh whatever" he grays rolling his eyes before waving at me and hanging up.

After Tara had stolen basically all of my food we both had settled ourselves comfortably on the sofa trying to find a movie to watch.

"Trent won't shut up about you, you know," I teased, nudging Tara playfully.

Tara blushed, her cheeks turning a shade of pink. "Really? he's been texting me a lot lately, but I thought he was just being friendly."

"Oh, come on, Tara. He totally likes you, I mean who doesn't." I insisted, smiling.

"He's sweet," Tara admitted, a small smile playing on her lips at the thought of the boy . "And what about you and Jude? stop trying to avoid the subject little miss." she says poking at my check.

I sighed happily, but still trying to act annoying. "he's unexpectedly amazing, but it's hard you know.I hate not knowing what he's thinking, I mean i barely know him."

"look i don't know him but from what i've seen it's obvious he cares about you," Tara said, her eyes reflecting genuine happiness for me.

"You know what? Why don't you come with me on this trip?" I blurted out suddenly. "I have two tickets, and I'd love for you to join me, i'm sure Trent would aswell" I giggled winking at her.

Tara's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Are you sure?"

"Absolutely," I replied.
"This is gonna be amazing, we totally need to go shopping before though!"
