The story is also past tense so instead of
"I feel as if slightly moving my limbs causes irritation to swim through my whole body in less than seconds"
It'll be more like
"I felt as if slightly moving my limbs caused irritation to swim through my whole body in less than seconds"
(Sometimes I use both past tense and present tense because well I can shut up eat my ass)
