The morning sun spilled through the delicate curtains of Khushi Khurana's room, casting soft rays of golden light across the room. The room was adorned with light coloured walls and warm lights of the room makes it more cozy for khushi.

She woke up and rolled over, squinting at the clock— 8:15 Am. Her fingers brushed her wavy hair as she lazily stretched her limbs and sat on the bed. While, her phone buzzed on the nightstand— her mother's message: " Khushi beta, don't forget, we have the event tonight. Be ready by 10".

She smiled to herself and silenced her phone. She didn't like these types of events where she have to meet the people who doesn't like her family but due to her father's influential background she have to attend it.

Without caring anymore she laid back on her bed and started scrolling through her phone. Then she talked to her friends for sometime. Choosed a dress for herself.

Her father loves her a lot everybody in her family is close to her but somewhere she always felt a kind of emptiness, the so called events she had to attend meant nothing for her, it is useless and time wasting for her.

Shaking off her thoughts, she did her daily life chores but somewhere she was thinking about
the event. Her instincts were pulling her to the event, she didn't know whether it was excitement or nervousness but deep down she counted shake the feeling that tonight would be different

In the other part of the city

The morning light creeped through the curtains, illuminating room  with soft golden hues. It was early, too early for most of the people but Madhav have never been the type to sleep in. He wakes before the world and does his workout.

His family is one of the chilled families they never burdened any of their child with unnecessary expectations but still the thought lingered in his mind. What now?

Raghav wasn't unhappy— far from it. But there was something missing, a sense of purpose that eluded him. Every day, he went through the motions— attending events, meeting people, fulfilling whatever small tasks were asked from him—- but it never felt like it meant anything. There was always a sense of emptiness he couldn't shake off.

A soft knock inturrupted his thought

"Raghav?" came his mother's voice from outside the door

"Come in Maa". He smiled knowing exactly who it is. His mother entered room and called him for the breakfast.

After that he got ready and went to have his breakfast. The breakfast in Rathore family is full of chaos. As he walked down the stairs , the sound of laughter and arguments reached his ears . He couldn't help but smile

Family banters—- his brothers fighting over who would take last pratha, his sister teasing the younger one for their "unfashionable" outfit which he royally ignored his father, trying in vain, to restore some semblance of order and this how their breakfast went by.

In all the choas, he was only thinking about the tonight's event. He was having a feeling that something's gonna change tonight. As he was lost in his thought his father noticed it.

"What happend beta". His father asked drawing everybody's attention towards him.

"Nothing  just thinking about tonight's event papa". He said and his father nodded

And then everybody went to their work

Khushi's Pov

At dinning table,

"Khushi pass me the butter". Papa's voice boomed across table, his dominating voice  calm downs the chaos on the table

I rolled my  eyes as  it is a daily thing in khurana house.

"One sec, papa". I replied then took the butter and gave him. Meanwhile her younger cousin brother Shivansh took her last pratha and from there a war of pratha began.

Her older brother, Agastya Khurana was sitting at the far end of the table, laughing so hard he almost choked on his cereal.

She looked at her father and signalled him to shut agastya. As per her command their father passed a glare to agastya and he kept quiet

Her mother, Simran finally spoke up, shaking her head at both of them, scolded them both ,served another paratha to khushi and asked them to keep quiet. This is the everyday routine of their breakfast

In all this banters, her mind was still thinking about the event which was tonight, she couldn't shake that feeling off. Seeing her lost her brother his brother asked

"Where are you lost khushi, is something bothering you". No bhaiya, nothing happend,! She replied
