"I'm going to miss you Ira." Niall, my best friend said. He wiped a tear from his face, hoping I wouldn't notice that my best friend, a 15-year-old boy, was crying, but I saw them. My mum's work got transferred back to Orlando, where Holly and Lily would be waiting for us. I haven't seen either of them since Lily's 10th birthday, which was December 5th last year.

"Niall why are you crying?" I asked him. "I'll still call."

Niall nods. "I know, but it won't be the same. We had a strong connection, almost as if you were my sister." he sniffled.

A tear rolled down my cheek and I laughed. "Remember the time we glued Timothy to his chair at school?" I said trying to brighten the mood.

And it seemed to work because Niall laughed too. "And the time you accidently locked us out of your house at our sleepover?"

I shuddered. "I had to wait 4 fri-"

Niall interrupted me. "Language!" he coughed.

I rolled my eyes and continued. "I had to wait 4 FREAKING hours for my food." I emphasized the work "freaking".

Niall shuddred as well. "What I didn't know then was that I had a pocketful of cookies."

I shoved him. "You did not!"

He grinned. "I did. I had them as soon as I got home." he told me.

I pouted. "Meanie."

Niall and I had a thing for food. We both had to have some at every minute of the day. We would sneak food into class for when we got hungry. Which was all the time.

"Ira!" my mum called. "It's time to go!"

I look at my mum then back to Niall. I pull him into a hug and I feel a tear slip down my cheek. "Bye Nialler." I whispered into his ear.

Niall nuzzles his face into the crook of my neck. "Don't go." he pleaded.

I pull away. "I have to Niall. But I will come back..." I say. I look into his eyes, which are the same color as mine, baby blue. "I promise."

Niall looks back. "Really?"

I nod. "Really..."

We stared at each other for a minute tthen pulled each other into another hug. I pull away and turned to go. "Bye Ni." I said while walking away.

As I was walking away, I heard Niall say quietly, "Bye..."

~back in Orlando~

As soon as I stepped off the plane I snatch my phone out of my pocket and dial Niall's number.

I listened to it ring for a few seconds until he picked up. "Hello?" he said.

"III'M HEEEEEEREEEEE!" I shouted into the phone.

heard Niall laugh. "That's good. Look, Ira I gotta go, my phone is literally about to-"

The line went dead and I assumed his phone died. I shrugged and put it back in my pocket.

Timothy popped up behind me. "Hiiii Ira!" he said annoyingly.

I groan inwardly. "Shut up Timothy." I say in annoyance.

He doesn't stop. "Was that Niall?" he says in a squeaky voice, doing a horrible impression of  a girly-girl.

"That's none of your business." I say and sped up.

Timothy easily kept up. "But Niall's my friend!" he protested.

That's it. "MOOOOOOOOOM!" I call. "Tell Timothy to leave me alone!"

Timothy walked ahead of me. "Jeez Ira," he said. "Be a spoil sport would you?"

I glared after him. I can't believe I have to put up with him. I shouldn't have to! I growled to myself and walked on.

~back at home~

I opened the door to my old house. "Lily!" I call. "Holly!"

Instantly, I'm bombarded with hugs from my sisters. "IRA!" they celebrated, even though they knew they were both acting a bit childish.

"I missed you too." I laughed.

After hugging me, they went to hug mum, then Timothy. I can't believe they actually like them. Oh yeah. They like him because he doesn't pick on them like he does me. I huffed and lugged my suitcases back up to my room, which would be Timothy-free. I can't wait for age 18, when I will be able to move out. It will be a looong 3 years for me.
