//AUTHOR'S NOTE//
hey guys! Thanks for reading my story. Before we begin, i just wanted to start off by saying that i have not been active on Wattpad for years and this is really the only time i've felt like writing something, since i was 15. I was watching The Broski Report earlier, a podcast made by favourite Supreme Leader of Broski Nation, Miss Brittany Broski and she was talking about her experience with Sarah Baska at a Sleep Token concert and it gave me so much inspiration for a fan fiction. I've only been a Sleep Token fan for a few months now so apologies if i get any facts wrong, please feel free to politely correct me and i'll continue to do my research on the band. Once again thank you so much for giving my story a read and let's get into it :) hope you enjoy!

Your house
It was a normal Friday night where you and your best friend Jennifer spent hours of your day preparing for tonight's massive event. A few weeks ago, you and Jennifer both decided to pick up extra shifts at work to afford tickets to your favourite band ever, Sleep Token. Tonight was the most exciting night of your life! As mentioned in the description of the narrative, you and Jennifer had been close ever since middle school. It all started the first day of 6th grade. You were sitting at your desk, awaiting the teacher's attention to start your work when a girl with long brown hair and glasses that took up most of her face had tardily wandered into class.
"Ms Sanderson, you're late," the teacher said, annoyed at the late student.
"Sorry, can't a girl stop for a drink and then use the bathroom?" she replied, sarcastically. Her attitude was both frightening and empowering. You felt a strange sense of respect for her.
"NO BACKCHAT! Go and sit down," the teacher shouted, her voice like thunder. The late girl sits down at the desk beside you, loudly slamming her books onto the table.
"That was so badass how you defended yourself there," you whispered to the girl beside you.
"Thanks," she whispered back to you. "Man, I hate her. She's always on my case. Won't stop calling my mom, saying i haven't been in class or always arriving to class late," she rolls her eyes. "I'm Jennifer. Most people just call me Jenny," Her hand is stretched out towards yours.
"Nice to meet you, I'm (y/n)," you take her hand and smile, politely.
You can't help but notice her sweatshirt, a black canvas with just the SLEEP TOKEN logo written across the front in red, bold letters.
"Woah! Your hoodie! Is that a-"
"It sure is," she interrupts, smugly.
"Oh wow, i love Sleep Token so much, they're, like, my favourite band ever!" you cried, ecstatically.
"NO WAY, ME TOO!" Jenny shouts.
"SHUSH! No talking!" the teacher growls, angrily.
"Hey, so i know we literally just met but do you wanna be friends? You can come over after school and i'll show you my vinyls and posters in my room," Jenny offers.
"YES, oh my gosh. I'd love to,"
"Great, here's my AIM and my home phone number, try not to call after 7pm, that's when we eat dinner together and my mom is really serious about family time," she says, laughing.
We became best friends that day and have been together ever since. We graduated high school and college together, and now we work together too. She really is my bestest friend. I wouldn't change her for anyone in the world.
