Elena watched as the leafs danced to the gentle rythm of the wind, as well as the children's clumsy play in the sand. There were a few bits of sand stuck in her eyelashes from playing quite filthily with the children, but she couldnt have cared less about that.

Her young and quite headstrong freind, Eli, had just started going to the potty, and she had gone lost in thought waiting for him.

At life, and what awaited her at home.

The whirling of the toilet was enough to announce Eli's arrival.

'All done!' he squeeled.

He stepped out, his brown khaki shorts dangling on his waist. His blue button down shirt was loose and swaying, complementing his beautiful blue eyes. His black shoes, slicked and shining, were hurting Elena's eyes.

'What is it with you and those shoes?' Elena asked, a grin already forming on her face.

Eli frowned haughtily. 'My daddy said they made me look like a man.'

Elena smile sweetly. 'Well i cant say he was wrong. Your dad has a good taste in shoes.'

Elena herself was in a pale red dress, an apron placed neatly on her thighs, in front of her. She had been doing the dishes. She had black skin, which had never really done her any favors, and brown eyes with gentle fingers and a warm heart. She was 20 and ripe for marriage, as her mother assured her.

Elena didnt mind any of that though, hardly even cared of her mother's decision.

What she cared the most was her role as a Storyteller.

She looked to Eli playfully, 'Come on. Let's not leave the others in suspense.'

She had been saying a story you see, and all the little kids had been quite eager to hear the end. She had to do it, all thpse eager faces always gave her joy.

Besides, it was her job, after all.
