Elena hates the thought of getting married. The very thought repulses her. All she wants is the beautiful smiling faces of her adoring children, to just be a storyteller, and they wouldnt even allow her that. She was done. Well, atleast she thought...
Elena was able to sneak away before her parents woke her up. Walking through the streets of our small litte town. seeing an occasional rainbow or hearing the beautiful birdsong, she litterally could have stayed anywhere else.
A simple baggy shirt with simple finesse, hoping not to attract too much atention but enough to make her feel special was what she had insited she wore.

Girl shit.
She was going where noone really ever bothered to here. Everyone busy being fairytale people in a fairytale world, and if you didnt fit the system, like Elena's brother, then they toss you out. It was pretty simple around here.
There is a Lord who oversees us all. He makes sure everythings ok. He has this lot that's basically his fanclub or something. Then there was me, Pastor Adam, that you guys probably forgot.
But i forgive you.
Anyway, then there was me. The old lad still looking quite fetchy in his white robe and oversized beard. I was the one who had to make the tough decisions. (the really tough decisions) and that made me compared to the likes of a GOD. Im not actually, but my powers were gotten from that of a god. That which gave us those powers gave my generation the power to control it.
It might not be that particular generation that im from as it can be passed to literally anyone, but you get it.
You get the gist right? Well, there's more.
Rumor has it, that Ricardo (the guy we all despise) is next in line to be the next Lord, which is automatic money, riches, and a good name. That immediately turned him into hot cakes. That's not what Elena thinks though but were going to forget that.
Now...where was I? Ah yes...
Elena strolled around, just blending into the background. She didn't burst into spontaneous song or reflect on the indepth ystery of life. She did not skip on her heels or walk around with agleam in her eyes as was expected of her. Instead she wished that all the people would just dissapear, and that the garbage man would stop hoggin the road, and that...
She finally reached the gate to the cemetry. She did not wish for that which depressed the soul, like dead loved ones and bleeding lies, but instead she came for her loved one and an aching truth. It did not make her feel whole (fuck u Adele(her words, not mine)) but it made her eat and chew and swallow reality, like a sour grape.
She closed the door behind her leaving her imprints in the mud. She walked right to the center, humming a nursery rhye she had been taught.
She twirled, suprisingly feeling more peaceful around dead and tortured souls.
She reached the center and gazed into his brother's dead grey eyes, her face blank. She smiled slightly. 'Brother.'
No answer. Not reply.
He was wearing a balck hoodie that clung to his torso. He wasnt trying to be hot, he simply hadn't changed since he was in 10th grade and probably never wanted to. Elena brushed her brother's chalky face, feeling a faint stubble. 'You're growing.' she whispered.
Noah had distorted growth. He could also commune with the death and could find secrets from them like a pirate for buried treasure. He had an eye piercing gaze that was terrifying, and he could control the activities of dead souls. H e could also curse a...
Ok, let's say you dont want him on your bad side. But it seems like that's exactly what the town did. They had seen his horrid abilities when he was just 16. He had been cast away to where his power was strongest; where noone ever went. That very memory alone replayed in his memories over and over again, making his eyes turn dead grey. And noone knew except for himself, and the spirits of the dead.
'Shame.' said Berkens. A farmer that had passed away. I had known the man in my youth and he hadn't been quite a welcoming fellow. 'Guess you get the hand you were dealt.'
Noah tried hard not to focus on him. He would deal wth him later. He tried to return to his body. Struggled. He was almost there. Wasn't he? He had to try. He was close, he could feel the redness of his beating heart.
Elena felt him move behind her as she brought out the onion crackers she had brought. She selected the plain flavour he liked and took her chocolate snickers, saving her biscuits for later.
She snuggled between her brother's arms as he held her. He smiled at him. 'Hi.'
She laughed at his smile as it had been long he did it. A bundle of teeth clicking constantly in his attempt. He frowned. 'What?'
She took a deep breath and ignored him, knowing he wouldnt get it. 'You're growing.'
Noah was of the dead. He was supposed to die. But he was half living, so he grew very, very slowly. 'Am I?'
'You look 18 at least. You have a stubble.'
He smiled. 'AMAMAYN'
Elena laughed.
'AMAMAYN!!' His voice echoed in the cymetery.
'Shut up.' she giggled, handing him the crackers.
'AMAMAYN.' he whispered.
She rolled her eyes as she bit into her snickers and brought out her phone. He opened his biscuits in return and playfully munched on his crackers. Elena gave him the stink eye.
Noah was a sweet, innocent soul. He had been put in the mist of retches, but he had not become one, in the eyes of his sister. In the eyes of his parents and of his village was another story alltogether, but he refused to listen. The dead souls had told him enough.
Melina was not his favorite peson, and the feelings were definately mutual, but he couldnt help but love his sister. He had too much, his soul was stuck down under this cemetry, but the only reason why he would stick his soul out of the sickening abyss was because of her. So much love he had placed in a place of sadness and death.
Sometimes, there are differnt types of love that overwhelms you and that of Noah's sister was enough to swallow them both, as well as all the dead souls where they sat, as well as the entire village, and there would till be space left for more.
They laughed and played and watched movies like they were little kids. A 7 year old boy and a 4 year old girl should come to your mind BTW. They would run around and skip and almost fly. They would do anything. As long as they were happy, the rest could go to hell. Noah could send them there anyway...
